Anyone else annoyed with Irvin saying, "My Son" Dez?

Nah, I think it's great. I love seeing one of my favorite players of the glory days (and my 20's) connect this generation of the Cowboys to the teams I loved so much.

The over-the-top repetition of "My son" in a single broadcast is annoying but I'll gladly listen to that for hours versus having to listen to Deoin or Faulk-head Marshall for a minute.

Sorry but it's not a big secret why he says it, if Drew Pearson tweeted out "my grandson" would that make more sense? And yes Mike does do a lot of mentoring for Dez & even gives him technical pointers to help his game. Personally I love when Mike says it, it shows the expectations he has for Dez & the high regard he must have for Dez's ability.

The "my son" stuff is kinda goofy, I do love Mike's enthusiasm for the Cowboys.

I know Mike has helped Dez in the past, I specifically remember mike helping Dez with his release off the los while in London this year, because I saw pictures of it.
