Anyone else as excited for Luke Bryan and Lady Gaga playing this SB?

I've been pretty unfamiliar with Lady Gaga in the past but saw her perform on TV lately and actually was surprised to discover that I really liked her performance and admired her talent. She sang well and played several instruments. I've never heard of Luke Bryan until now, though.

I'm excited about Lady Gaga. I saw her perform for the 1st time at the Academy Awardslast year. Her tribute to Julie Andrews and the Sound of Music was incredible . One of the great voices of this era.

I also enjoyed her tribute to Stevie Wonder and David Bowie. Very versital artist with tremendous range.

Her National Anthem at last years Super Bowl was awesome as well. I haven't heard much of her past music she's been criticized for but I do like her current material which is supposed to be the focus of this performance .

How about a real half-time; bring in the top college band-halftime show of the current year. Those shows have great bands, themes, and are more entertaining than a 10-12 minute phony band mini-concert. Even if it was one of my favorite groups, we are talking about only 2-3 songs at a venue where it makes no sense.

My number 1 choice would be the typical guys analyzing the first half, but if there's a show, make it the best real football halftime show in the country as seen live at football games.

I couldn't care less about the halftime show. As far as the anthem, just sing it with class and respect. I hate when people try to string out the notes, add extra lyrics, or go rogue on it. Sing with heart and feeling, but sing it with a properness that it deserves as our National Anthem

If they play In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida it would take the entire half time up for one song....fantastic...

Every year I hate the Superbowl halftime show. They always suck. Then again as you can tell by my avatar I am not a big fan of pop music or country either for that matter.

Prince put on the best SB show that I have seen to this point.

Lady Gaga is hit or miss for me. I'm not a music hipster so I don't dislike her reflexively but I don't DL her music either. I have paid attention to how she went from Juilliard to the evolution of her music career and she is unquestionably a talented musician and vocalist. She is also diverse in her work which I appreciate.

I would not be surprised if she put on one of the better performances. The bar from past efforts is not particularly high. I'm looking forward to it obviously but I wouldn't say that I am excited.
