Anyone else concerned we are about to cut Lewis Neal?

Guy has done nothing but make plays, he'd be an awesome back-up to Collins at 3-tech. There is no way he clears waivers. I'm concerned we are only keeping 8 DL. He is better than some other guys we are likely keeping.

We can't keep everybody that shows promise
Lewis, Brown, MarkLB, Rush, mWhite,
Will we rue the day?

Aaron Donald about the same size smh. Neal has "it" and other teams will be putting in a waiver claim mark my words.
I have no idea if he'll clear waivers, but I do know that every year, people here get excited about guys in the preseason and say, "He won't clear waivers, mark my words," and then the guy clears waivers and ends up on our PS or out on the street. We routinely value our marginal guys more highly than other teams do.

Not to many teams run a 4-3 though. That's the teams that should be interested.

They already cut him. Cutting him early improves their chance of sneaking him on PS. Gotta wait 24 hours.

How exactly does cutting someone early increase chances of getting him on the PS?

Pretty sure the 24 hours starts when the deadline hits for cut down

I believe it's 24 hours from the time you're cut.

That would be ridiculous and impossible for the league to manage.

More likely all cuts are official at end of business today. By your thinking, anyone cut yesterday could already be on a ps.

I doubt any of our cuts gets claimed but Neal is probably the most likely.

He should've earned a spot poor guy he played his arse off. Hopefully practice squad. I would've kept him over Tapper or even Thornton.

Thornton is a contract deal. Costs more to cut him than keep him. I think they would if they could.

I like him. he has a knack for play making. you cut thornton. we would have papa and collins as starters. crawford and neal as back ups. Irvin can pitch in the middle as well.

then on the outside, you have moore, lawrance, charlton, mayowa and irwin.

I cut tapper. then resign to practice squad.

Wouldn't shock me if he gets cut and put on practice squad. I think you guys underrate these type of guys. Every team has a guy like this they hope clear waivers.

Paea would be the only 1 tech and he has a gimpy knee. They have to keep Thornton.

Lets check twitter tomorrow around noon...I don't think either of us know for sure...but I'm pretty sure it's 24 hours from the time an individual player is cut.

Our staff has an unholy attachment to oft injured players who may have some potential. I think you're right in that is unlikely any team would sign a guy to the 53 who has never even played in the league and can't stay healthy for a week of practice.

At this point you have to put signees on the 53 right? After theach 24 hours the PS opens up, iirc.
