Anyone else disappointed Bledsoe show no support for Romo on the sidelines?

You do not think that happens all the time in the work place?

Your work place and mine probably don't resemble a pro football field. You may expect this type of thing to happen but I doubt you will see it very often in Pro Football. Just not the way it typically works. I can almost assure you with out a doubt that if the employees in 9 to 5 jobs were financially secure, the way Pro QBs are, they wouldn't be itching to help Joe College take his job and put him out of work 2 years before retirement.

I look at it this way, say bye bye to Drew Statue and hello to a QB that brings excitement/hope to the field!

Be careful what you wish for. People were saying about Quincy Carter after Troy the Statue Aikman too.

One scrub is not a solution to another scrub

He gets paid pretty good as an employee of the Dallas Cowboys.

The second half he was being paid to be the backup.

What frame of mind would he have been in had Romo got nicked or something and he would have had to go back in ?

He could have pouted in the lockerroom after the game.

Pouted may not be the right word, but he needed to stay in the game, ... just in case.

He did not.

Maybe Drew tried to give some pointers or advice, but Romo declined to accept it. Nobody but the team knows what happen after it was announced of the benching.

maybe its just me, but i dont think romo gave much to cheer about... wasnt any better than bledsoe

I know that being replaced at Halftime is not going to make anyone happy. But if he is the professional that everyone claims he is, he needs to act like it. I was disgusted that all he did the whole 2nd half was pout on the sideline. Not once did he try to help the young kid out, not once did he look at any pictures to see what the D was doing. This is not the signs of a professional, but a big spoiled cry baby.

When you and Alice get back from Wonderland and understand that not all people are going to respond to situations the same let us know.

Kurt Warner sets the all-time example for how to handle these situations. Frankly, any quarterback is going to pail in comparison.

Bledsoe "should" have done the same. I can certainly understand why he didn't, though, in the heat of the battle.

Warner has been benched 3 times in his career as well, and each time he sucks it up, and works with the new QB. Shows him what he is seeing, gives him tips.
.

And coincidently Bledsoe's been benched 3 times in his career and acted the part of whiny little pouter each time.

I wonder if it's also a coincidence that one led his team to a Super Bowl title and the other will go down as the consumate choker.

Incredible.

You got Romo finally, and yet you continue to kick Drew for not being HAPPY about being demoted.

This is when you can tell "fans" are more a fan of a player than they are of a TEAM.

Please. He could show support for the team and not pout on the sidelines. He is paid to help the team.

Define "pout." Imagine if that had been TO. He stode quietly and watched. He didn't put on a happy face. There is a qb's coach. Get real.

When did he pout in New England?

When did he pout in Buffalo? He was cut in the offseason so he could not possibly have pouted in Buffalo.

Last night, he is benched at half-time on national tv yet you and others seem to expect him to come out all smiles giving Romo the old "win one for Drew' line.

Isn't it enough you got your wish and the 1AA prodigy is now the starter?

Um, he was supportive on the sideline when Brady took over in 2001. He spoke his mind when it came time (after he came back in the AFC Championship) for Belichik to choose. He was never benched in Buffalo. Get your facts straight.

I agree with you. If this is now Romo job then go take care of your business. Take the heat and the glory that comes with the job. Bledsoe is not going to be Romo big brother. In saying this I'm not coming down on Romo but it is your job you deal with it and all that comes with the position.

Not at all. I have no QB agenda unlike most here.

I just think it is atrocious the way the same people that rip Bledsoe for INTs are excusing the prodigy for his.

I also suspect those same posters now have a new favourite player, the next backup.

Just out of curiosity, how do you geniuses know he didn't give him any words of encouragement?

Oh, I know, because ESPN didn't show it.

I'm sure all of you were in the locker room during half time and had the sidelines mic'ed up.

Maybe he did and maybe he didn't. Until we hear something on the subject from Drew or Romo, we don't know... but hey, don't let that stop you all from piling on Drew once again.

How did you expect him to look, by the way? The team was losing and he got benched. If anyone here would have looked cheerful in that situation, I'd question your sanity.

And just what was Drew supposed to say to Romo to keep him from throwing those picks? "Hey Tony, when there's a screen pass and the RB is being blanketed by two defenders, throw the ball away." That's actually pretty good advice, but then again, Drew always got booed for throwing the ball away, so who knows what he'd say.

After the first half Bledsoe was having.

Do you really want him giving tips to Romo in the second half?

You mean you think Romo could have been worse?

I agree and then have the nerve to demand that Drew hold his hand. Romo is a big boy been in the league 4 years now. What is Drew going to tell him? From what I have heard both guys have a good relationship and I don't think that will change.

just 1.

never do what i do, and never play like i play.

if he can pass that down i'll finally find redemption in the player.
