I very much dislike the SF 49ers. My hate goes back to the days of Montana and “The Catch”. I hated them in 1994. I hate them now. Shanahan is a classic NFL nepotism guy. He has been anointed as some sort of genius. Fact is he has been responsible for some of the dumbest coaching in the modern era. That Atlanta loss was all on him. I can’t stand the arrogance and the stupid flat brim ball cap. I am sorry if you don’t break in a hat you are a fool. Purdy had a reputation of being a punk in college. He looks like a punk too. Cocky little man thinks he is Steve Young out there. I can’t wait until he gets the pummeling that is certainly coming his way. The people in Northern CA deserve embarrassment. I really want to see Dallas smash these guys. I hate the Niners. Always have. Always will. Thoughts?

I also hate the 49ers and have ever since the catch. But I am jealous of their success. In terms of bottom line success/Super Bowl trophies, 49ers > Cowboys (6 v 5 Lombardi’s).

The Jones boys are the epitome of nepotism and I’m sure you agree. At least the 49ers owner lets the experts run football operations.

But yeah I hate the 49ers. How Montana won that game and that Super Bowl with a starting RB Bill Ring, just shows how special he was or maybe how lucky he was. Cowboys were the better team on paper but …

They did ok on their own against them last year.

Don't really need a plan when you just absolutely brutalize and dominate your opponent physically and beat them into submission or into the medical tent.

Along with one of the best most exciting comebacks in franchise history came against the 49ers but we were the real Dallas cowboys back then not Jerry's cowboys

The two touchdown comeback in the last 2 minutes was actually a 1972 divisional round game. Little me totally lost it watching that.

The 70 and 71 NFCCGs were much less dramatic, 17-10 (last game ever at Kezar Stadium) and 14-3 (Texas Stadium).

But three straight playoffs the Cowboys sent San Fran packing.

That's it right there, mad respect for Shanihan and Lynch doing it the smart way, especially given the horrible state of quarterbacking these days. I do hate the Niners and the fools strutting in with boom boxes, Purdy is just a guy doing his best and within his limitations.

Can you point to any reasons to hate Kyle Shanahan? Nepotism is fair, but he's definitely stepped out of his father's shadow. Half the offensive playcallers in the NFL right now are his proteges.

Always like Shanahan! Wish he was the coach of the Cowboys. Purdy I don't really know anything about him. I do know he was the last pick in the draft and he has played well. That being said I'm still rooting for the Cowboys to win.

I don't hate the 49ers because their story has been very similar to ours until recently. Iconic franchise that fell to the bottom with only a few seasons here and there with success.

NFL is better with the Cowboys and 49ers being successful.

I want Purdy exposed. We were *this* close to doing it last year...but then...you know what happened.

People are talking about him like he's Joe Montana. He's on a stacked team, has one of the greatest dual threats around in his backfield and he's not played from behind much.

I want him EXPOSED.

Nobody talks about him like he's Montana. Even 49ers fans are waiting for that moment where his limitations show. The thing, it just continues to not happen.
