I hope you are kidding my leg because you half to put family first. Half you thought about eating the thanksgifting meal before or after the game?
What you are saying is not good family dinamics. Please put aside your football jones on this special day and join the dysfunctional family for a tag-team match, much eating and many old wounds reopened. That is the good old Armenian Way of Thanksgifting and togetherness.
Take me, I show up, uninvited but I always find a place at the table near Uncle Joe who half prison stories. Aunt Mimi hold it against me I did not go to art school like all British rockers and ma and paw they just shrug and tell the family I was left at the doorstep. But the food is good and the beer is almost 3% so we get along and half a swell time.
Eat with the fam! You will thank me one day.

You half to get off your Hi horse

That's why I leave it up to my buddy, he knows what he's doing. I never tried it again.

LOL- I've heard of these gaffs. We have one conventional turkey brining right now & the fryer- designating one air drying. Best not get them confused in the AM. As a precaution, I don a grinding shield when lowering the bird into the oil.

Also, I'm about to make crownies for tomorrow.

I live by myself, without any family (that I care about) within 2,000 miles. I don't have that problem to worry about.

l haven't eaten at the TG table since I was probably 10 years old. At first I was yelled at for a few years, now it's just accepted and known. I told my gf ofcourse I want you to come over but know you and no one else exists for 3 hours. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for Tony Romo first and foremost, and then family. I Will now gladly accept your likes, just put them under the table. Im taking shelter after this post. Go Cowboys

Haha- my Thanksgiving's meal is over before the game starts... We usually miss the first game.

I don't enjoy watching the game in the crowd. I'm the hardest core in the group with a couple of bandwagon Pat's fans and the rest couldn't care less. So the routine is, go down a bit early and help mom out. Eat about 1:00 EST. Watch the rest of the Lions Game and be as sociable as I can. Say my goodbyes and leave in time to get home and walk the dogs a bit before kickoff. A couple buddies will stop by as soon as they can make their escape.

"Their escape" lol so true

I eat before the game and encourage loved ones to leave my house before it starts or I leave theirs. :)

my TG table during Dallas game time is ALWAYS on the couch, centered at the game with the obligatory "Don't worry, I won't drop or spill any of this" (bulging plate #1 on my lap)

popular sayings during the game (with mouth full of good) "FROW DA BALL" "GET HIM, BITE HIM" (I digress)

Because eating with the family is very important.... About 7 years ago I bought a dinning room set and placed it in the den .... and I sit on the side that faces the big screen TV.

Solution: everyone is happy! Lol

Hell I'm stressed enough with 10. No way in hell I could do 30-40.

we are stressed to the max too, but the wife wouldn't have it any other way. the mixing of two families is always a fun thing to do, i am hispanic, and they are white with a lot of polish. The wifes family is born and raised in Michigan so they follow the Lions.

I time the turkey and the dinner to be ready at halftime. There is lots of eating, drinking, and comeraderie before that so when dinner is ready I eat at the table at halftime and then take my plate into the TV room for the 2nd half.

Ha, yeah, we usually eat at halftime as well. I've just paused the game last couple years

I go to my mom's every TG and we're usually done eating before kickoff. One year we ended up eating a little later and I had plans on having the TV on so I wouldn't miss any of the game and my sister was livid. We got into a shouting match and tensions were high for a little while. Needless to say I didn't miss any of the game lol ;-)

Today is an anniversary for me - it was on Thanksgiving Day (I don't remember the exact year but the TV was black & white) and I remember asking my dad who the team was with the star on their helmet - and ever since that moment they have consumed my life. I cannot explain it but some people find a soulmate - I found a team.

The great thing about it is that they are always there - though good times and bad (both the team & my life). The Cowboys are one of the few things in life I can actually count on year in and year out and although it can be painful at times - it's something that Im passionate about and so many people go through life without passion.

From that day as a little kid on Thanksgiving at my grandparents house - through high school, college, weddings, births, deaths, relationships, financial good times and really bad times, life goes on but I'm thankful for the Dallas Cowboys being a part of my life all these years. :starspin:
