How many of you are not watching the game this Sunday at 4est due to xmas eve plans? I know with my family, we will go to early mass and then out to dinner so I will absolutely miss all of it. I have spectrum streaming so can't even record to watch and when we get home from dinner have magic family time with the 3,7,9 year olds....needless to say, I am going to have to bypass this week due to scheduling.

Hopefully they get the win but curious how many of you are in the same predicament I am in and what you are doing to be able to watch later without knowing how it unfolded?

(PS this thread is not about not watching bc I don't want to or bc trying to make some dumb statement, so lets not make it about that please)
Going to Christmas eve church services at 2pm and watching game at 4:30pm

Time for you to sac up and get some respect. My wife is so cool that we are going to the game and then meeting up with our kids afterwards. She knows it’s not possible for me not to watch the game and intermittently throwing out a curse word.

You’re kidding right?
Well I most definitely will not miss the game, I haven’t missed a game since 1970

Won't be able to watch but will be checking my phone. Probably be wondering what's going on why isn't Dallas able to score and than I will find out it's another Buffalo type game.

Everyone has their priorities . Nothing wrong with that.

Mine are watching the Cowboys game. I’ve planned my life around them for 60 years.

It's not too late to salvage this.

Start coughing a bit NOW...and mentioning (not complaining) about a mild sore throat

Then. On Friday and Saturday you increase your "symptoms" each day by 50%. By Sun morning... you will be full blown need to lay on the couch all day and night "sick"...wink wink.

BUT...if your a krappy actor. Just climb up on a ladder to "check your gutters", and take a nose dive into a bush from 15 feet up.

It'll bust you up pretty good...but the bush should give you a 75% chance of avoiding major debilitating injuries. A broken foot here, gash in the arm there.....and bip bam boom you get to wartch the game Sun night

You welcome

Thus your handle. lol
Well, the handle pertains to the lack of success this era.. not my devotion in not missing a game for 6 decades which in the early years took much effort with blackouts locally. And why we had season tickets for most of 4 decades. Now with current technologies can watch our games anywhere.

The family ( around 50 in total) will be celebrating at the farm I am sure the game will be on in the background somewhere but you bet the focus will be the family activities.
May the Lord bless all of you
May the Fonz be with you also. Ayyyyy!

Our Christmas Eve tradition is my wife’s homemade French Canadian tortiere around 10pm with a couple of bottles of Merlot, then over to sit around the tree and gab about the past year and listen to carols. The kids used to look at the gifts and guess what they were, then each got to open a small one before bed. Now they’re 21 and 23 years old and the convo is much more fun.

Needless to say, an afternoon Cowboys game fits the tradition perfectly and a W will make the evening that much better. If it’s an L, it just means a bit more wine…
