Anyone else watch very little NFL this year?

I’ve barely watched. I have seen every minute of every Cowboy game the last 35 years. But I’ve barely watched this year. Our owner clearly has no interest in doing anything to make a championship team. I’ve watched a little bit of every game the Cowboys have played this year, but only a handful of complete games. Zero amount of other teams. The joy was ripped out this last offseason.

What’s making this season even worse for most Cowboys fans is Philly having a great season. Washington is also contending which is making this season even tougher to watch for a lot of fans. This has been a miserable season for many Cowboy fans especially those who hate Dak. He was extended and then got injured. The fan base is completely deflated.

I watched less only because I did not get NFL ST. But I still watch the local games in my area. Or stream a few games to keep an eye on. As well to watch the Bengals. And a few times watched at the bar as opposed to staying home for every game. As I have not paid 100% attention as usual also.

Not for any particular reason it has been less. I guess I have valued my time with a few friends more so than some game between the Jets and Patriots. Even though that game was on where we were.

I probably watched a little more college than I have in the past. As I will the bowl games for the playoffs.

I have watched less. I think I have less interest when the cowboys aren’t a relevant team.

It’ll come back when the cowboys are good again.

Also I have an 8 and 4 year old. They’re keeping me busy.

I have NEVER been less emotionally invested in football as I have been this year. It started with the playoff loss and the inactive offseason. It's like we all knew what kind of season was coming and it turned out to be true.

I am fed up with what the NFL is turning into and Cowboys games are the only ones I watch. I can't watch other teams for more than a little while. I just can't get into it anymore. A lot has happened in my life personally that has led to this, but this ain't the game I grew up with anymore.

I watch and enjoy it all as the NFL is still A1 in my book after the Mets and Knicks.
I am looking and supporting the Lions and Bills to win their 1st SB ever this season as our Cowboys are Road Kill.

Same I've seen very little of the last five games. Sad.

That’s the reason we’re seeing threads like this. A lot of fans are bummed. When the Cowboys aren’t doing well fans lose interest in the entire league, Fortunately that’s not me.
Well, fortunately for you. :muttley:

If you read enough of the posts on this board it shouldn’t be a surprise that most of the people here don’t actually watch the NFL

Some people here sound like they don’t actually watch the Cowboys. Which explains why some don’t have a clue what they’re talking about.

I think this is a record for me for fewest NFL games I’ve watched this year. I’ve watched hardly any non cowboys games and I’ve probably only seen half the cowboys games start to finish.

The product is just boring to me. Regular season is meaningless. It’s just about who gets hot in January since you just have to be respectable to get in now.

I still love the draft but not the regular season.
Watch every play I can...from any level.

I don’t agree at all. I can see an argument for style of play maybe being not 100% enjoyable from an aesthetic stand point but it’s still a league where anyone can lose any given week and it’s not a guarantee of the outcome.

I try to watch as much as I can, however I have work and family obligations so it’s primarily every cowboys game and then the big matchups

I've felt quite a bit of apathy since the last playoff exit and nothing is getting better nor should it. The outlook isn't great. Bored with the rest of the NFL too, the penalties, the Taylor Swift stuff, the endless Progressive commercials. I just get annoyed.

During the Bengals game they talked for like an hour about the replacement Bengals kicker and his cheerleader Girlfriend. I'd rather watch Landman or Yellowstone given the product.

Also, the NFL is so watered down now with games almost every night it just doesn't feel the same anymore. It's like the WWF or something to me. Oh well. I still follow the team and other things. Just have lost a little interest as compared to when I was younger. Getting old I guess.

I haven't watched as much this year as in the past. My chief complaint is the number of commercial breaks, to sell beer, property insurance or cars/trucks. Worse now than ever and it seems the networks are more devious about the constant "we'll be back after this message" crap.
Some viewers may not mind this. I do.

I think for some of the posters here who have been die-hard Cowboy football fans since as long ago as the 1970s or even earlier, the last 30 or so years since the 90s three-peat have been an exercise in excruciating patience.
For me the excitement and patience has worn thin as far as expecting this franchise as currently managed to be able to put together a roster to seriously contend for at least an NFC championship run.

After last year's painful Green Bay playoff loss I finally lost total faith in the father/son braintrust to run the Cowboys as a top tier football franchise. The Dak contract extension cemented that feeling for me this year.

It's obvious now that the main goal of Jerry and his kids is to keep the family-owned entertainment business profitable.

Hard to tune in every week and be a loyal fan of a franchise that isn't all in to be of championship-caliber.

A fraction of what I've watched in the past. My wife even asked me about it, lol. I often forget about the Monday and Thursday games. Never watch the replays of the games I couldn't get anymore.

It's not any premeditated anti-NFL protest. I just don't care about what the league has turned into.

I think I have watched 4 total and not all of them were Cowboys games. SMH
