I still would like to have the skins game

Any team is capable of beating any other team on any given Sunday... with that being said, I can't see the Giants (who just allowed 332 rushing yards) or the Bears (who have lost their last 3 by 82 points) as being that likely to beat us.

Yeah... And that's the kicker.

Fudgin Giants will probably connect with Beckham and Donnely. So we must be ready to attack Eli.

Cutler, if still starting by then, will rebound and have best game against us.

Nit saying either happen... But refer to the bold.

Its a good start. But if being a cowboys fan over the past several seasons has taught me its best to take a wait and see approach. We've been in similar situations during the JG era before. In 2011 and 2013 this team went into December with 7 wins, with 5 and 4 games to go respectively, and came out 8-8.

This team has a long way to go and they don't get to play the Jags every week.

i'm happy..

i mean i'm really happy.

Despite some of the ugliness as of late we've done a good job of replacing injured players(minus Weeden) hitchens for Durante -Parnell for free- Moore/Paton for Claiborne -mcclain for Lee etc etc. now at 7-3 have chance to do some damage.

No. Losing to Washington still pisses me off and the Arizona game too for that matter.

Right. We could be 8-2 or 9-1. That would feel good.

7-3 is nice when you consider the pre season expectations. Not near as nice when you consider how we lost to Wash and AZ.

Some will consider this perspective as complaining. Not a complaint, just looking at how things have unfolded and looking at 2 games we coulda shoulda won.

All things considered, 7-3 is good.

The Commanders game is bone in the throat still. But overall it is hard to be disappointed in much else.

I am. Looking at the schedule before the season started, I thought at best, we'd be 6-4 going into the Bye. Glad I was wrong. Does irk you a bit, that we had a chance to go in at 8-2. I'll still take it though. Need just as strong of a 2nd half of the season.

I might seem greedy but I lament not being 9-1 right now. Hell, if Romo was healthy in game 1 I believe we would've won that one. Is 10-0 too much to expect?......I'm kidding (sort of). 7-3 puts us in great shape and remember everybody, IT'S NOVEMBER!!! If history holds up we should play winning football this month. I know it doesn't work that way but it's something to hold onto. Saying we control our own destiny is so cliche', but it's the truth. We can't really ask for more than that.

Positives:
1) Offensive line is back together and strong.
2) Best running back in the league.
3) Romo just had his best game of the season , something most thought he couldn't do.
4) Hitchens may be a nice find.
5) Street has yet to catch his first pass, but I see potential.
6) Ro McClain is a beast when he's healthy.
7) Scandrick is playing lights out and leading the guys on defense.
8) The next man up mantra has really worked for us.
9) The players believe in Garrett.

Negatives:
1) Injuries - they just keep creeping up, can't be avoided.
2) Special teams is in disarray.
3) No pass rush although they looked better at times yesterday.
4) The defense is average overall - will that be enough?
5) We don't have an adequate backup QB - ironically the front office had the best backup in the league on the roster but never mind.
6) Outside the team - the media continues to try to stir up stuff. It's an added distraction that other teams don't have.

The positives outweigh the negatives. I'm glad there's a bye next week. I need a rest from the stress of Cowboys games, lol. I look forward to the stretch run.

I'm happy and very proud of this team,we're in a Very good position right now at 7-3, considering all the unfortunate set backs and injuries, we're still a dominant team, and going into a bi could not come at a better time, I think we can make a run this year!

I am impressed. After all the injury bug to Romo,Carter, and McClain.........very impressed. It was nice to have O Line back at full strength.

I am happy, but I cant help but feel that the Skins game we just pissed away...................lets hope that wherever we finish, its not 1 game short.

It's a give and take. Remove the Dez catch in OT vs. the Texans and the 3rd and 20 heave against the C-hoks ... we'd be 5-5 right now.

I was going to be happy with 3-7 going into the bye week before the season started(and after week 1). The only reason we lost 2 games is that our QB was hurt and missed basically all of a 2nd half and a full game. If Romo was healthy we would be sitting at 9-1 right now.

If you had told me in july this team would be 7-3 going into the bye week, I would be stunned and gleeful. Its just hard swallowing how easily this could have been 9-1!
