Anyone happy we are sitting at 7-3?

I just hope Washington game wasn't the game we needed to make the playoffs. Sort of like the Detroit game from 2011 and the GB game from last year.

If you would have told me at this point we would be 7-3 i would be happy as a clam. We still have a tough last 6 games with all 5 of those opponents capable of beating us.

Any team is capable of beating any other team on any given Sunday... with that being said, I can't see the Giants (who just allowed 332 rushing yards) or the Bears (who have lost their last 3 by 82 points) as being that likely to beat us.

I'm happy to be 7-3, but I can't help but think if only we could have handled the blitz better against Washington, we not only win that game, but Romo never gets hurt and plays against Arizona. I think with Romo we beat them.

Oh well. Not worth losing much thought over I guess.

Honestly I think it might be a good thing we lost like that when we did. If Washington noticed that weakness you can bet other teams had as well... now we know about that weakness and can compensate for it down the stretch, rather than finding out about it in the playoffs.

I am really pumped to be 7-3 and having a bye week. Honestly as much as I love the Boys, my heart was thinking 6-10 for the season. Coming off of last year with the worst defense ever and losing Ware and Lee, I realistically thought the best we could possibly do was 8-8. Then the opening loss to the 49ers and I didn't have much hope for this season. So being 7-3 and winning the game before the bye week is making me pretty happy. Even if this team doesn't win the super bowl this has been a special season just due to the heart of each player playing. This season has a different feel to it. Almost like the last couple years it seemed like our players just came out went through the motions. This season the players are playing with heart and it has the feel of the early 90's teams that expected to win and hated losing. This has been fun and we get to relax the next two weeks and enjoy the situation.

Well......
The Giants did give us a tough game for a bit and we don't have anyone that can cover Beckham so that may be tougher then we think. And the last few times we have played Cutler and Marshall they have owned us.

I am happy, but I cant help but feel that the Skins game we just pissed away...................lets hope that wherever we finish, its not 1 game short.
This is where I'm at. I could be happier, but I'm pretty thrilled. I'm just perplexed by the Washington game. This game may hunt us. I would like to be the second or third seed if we can make the playoffs. I think we play better on the road than at home.

I actually thought this team would be a 7-9 team, so one more win will beat my expectation. While I should be thrilled seeing our Thanksgiving day record with Romo, I still worry about our December woes. Either way I am loving the direction we are taking and the run game has been stellar. I am also so surprised to see the body of work our defense has made fighting through injuries and still being top 15 with not one single big name. The DC has been doing his magic yet again this year as he did last year before the promotion.

All in all I am very impressed, but now seeing this group of guys become a team with heart, it has raised my expectations to at least a playoff win. Let's hope we get to do just that and make make some noise from here on out.

Won't be happy unless we're in the playoffs. Then who knows, hopefully we can make some noise.

Could be better, could be worse. I think we're good enough to have beaten every team we've played. Of course, going 16-0 doesn't happen, but it's frustrating that it took a lot to beat teams that we should have put out by halftime (down 21-0 to Rams, overtime against Texans, final drive to beat Seahawks). We shouldn't have been in so many close games this year. We shot ourselves in the foot too many times this season. Eventually it caught up to us (Commanders). The Cardinals loss was expected. You don't beat a 6-1 team without your starting QB. So, overall, I guess I'm happy we're 7-3. Could have been better (9-1), could have been worse (4-7).

I agree that the Cowboys play better on the road, but even the 2nd & 3rd seed play at home (2nd seed gets 1st round bye then hosts the highest remaining seed from WC round; 3rd seed hosts 6th seed in the WC round). In order to ensure an away game the Cowboys would need to be a WC team.... right now I have the Packers at 12-4 and the Cowboys, Eagles, Seahawks, and Lions all finishing at 11-5. I could even see the Cards finishing at 11-5 (hard to say with the injury to Palmer). It will be interesting to see how it all plays out

Anyway, I'm just as thrilled as the next Cowboys fan at the 7-3 start. I'm optimistic that the Cowboys can win 4 of the remaining 6 games (Giants, 1 vs. Philly, Bears, & Skins) and end with a 11-5 record. However, it's a cautious optimism since I've been high on this team only to be let down too many times.

Hats off to the coaching staff. particularly Marinelli and his coaches.
There's been some hick-ups but we're a year ahead of where I thought we might be.
Many have said it but the gloom has lifted around here and thats my kinda entertainment.
