Can any of the medical staff on the board try to decipher the injury that Rodgers has?

Here is a quote with Rodgers vague description:

Injuring the calf in a second spot has been challenging for "the fact that the inside was real weak because that was the initial point of strain in the Tampa game, that the outside just kind of gave out on the scramble throw to Randall (Cobb)," said Rodgers.

So is it a muscle strain and a second muscle tear? Reading between the lines of some of the random quotes out there it seems like a fairly significant injury if they are not even going to attempt to practice him until Thursday. Just wondering if anyone might have more insight.

Looks like he has gained some weight due to not being able to practice / exercise.

Advantage Cowboys.

He will absolutely not be as mobile but he's still dangerous, at least we don't have to worry about him scrambling for first downs.

Man, they are walking on thin ice with him.

I expect to see Rodgers at or near 100%, no way around it Dallas has their work cut out for them, I think this team is up to the challenge.

I would be more concerned about Rodgers if he were going up against a better pass rush. He is a bad hit away from GB being done.

If I'm Dallas, I try to get him moving around early on to test that leg. I know it is risky to blitz him since his passer rating is through the roof, but do it under control and see if he's game to do a lot of rolling out or scrambling. This would be so much easier with a legit front 4 that can mount a pass rush. Lately it seems like the only rush comes in the 4th quarter when the other team starts getting tired or is forced to pass.

I think he'll start the game fine, but If that calf is not fully healed I guarantee you he'll start hobbling around by the 2nd qt. The very first time he has to really push off on the calf he'll be limping around.

Rodgers is a tough guy but games are still won by teams, Cowboys just need to play their style of ball. I will respect Rodgers but I am not going to make him out to be a God and sure as hell will not be intimidated by a frozen cow pasture.

I'd send a corner blitz on one play and Carter on another, somebody with speed...

I would not make a habit of it, we do not look good when we blitz. Guys seem to hesitate or slow up leaving us on as island with no help. Hate to say it but I cringe when I see us blitzing.
