Anyone have details on Rodgers injury?

I don't get why so many people want other teams best players out for our game. First, it was Suh and now it is Rodgers. Whats next, Sherman? People in general, not a CBZ thing.

I understand it gives us an advantage but I want Dallas to get there respectfully. Our first win is already tainted in others eyes. All we need is another one with Aaron out or leave early due to injury. If he gets hurt or has to leave later in the game, fine.

Want to be the best? Beat the best! With or without Rodgers, Dallas can win this game.

From my perspective from playing in college(baseball), if a stud pitcher was slated to start, we were prepared and focused. However, if he got scratched for any reason, we often let our guards down thinking we had it made and ended up losing.

Mental preparation is 90% of the game, I want our guys going in ready to beat Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, not the scrub Flynn and the Pack! That is when bad things start to creep in IMO.

I get what you're saying but I honestly don't care how we get there. Just bring me #6 and I'll be crying tears of joy. I'm all for any advantage we can get.

We're not going to try to hurt Rodgers, just take him out of his comfort zone.:)

Rodgers is a bit gimpy. I expect a large dose of Lacy. Could be Brent's break out game clogging up the middle.

Need to force him to scramble around and test the leg early. Make every throw a long one for him. Don't give them the inside slants and most importantly stop the run.

you are like music to meine ears. thank you.

but meine friend i would say that stopping his passes if more important than the run.
I do want a frnesy of blitz and the linebackers freelancing. That will work. my small heart and even smaller brain tells me.

I would not make a habit of it, we do not look good when we blitz. Guys seem to hesitate or slow up leaving us on as island with no help. Hate to say it but I cringe when I see us blitzing.

Do I half to fritz slap you? look meine freund, you half to blitz. early and frequently. Ok I am spouting but listen. Rogers is the finest Qb in the leak and the blitz is the way to hep our secondary. COME TO YOUR SINCES, MAN!!
Ok, I don't want to be harsh on you you being a fine fan but half a clue. IT IS ALL ABOUT STOPPING THE BEST QB IN THE LEAK! the running is second priority and stuff. OK don't be all analyst and clueless and all.

I expect to see a pro bowl QB playing on a pro bowl level regardless of injury. Thats what I expect.
What I hope for is a miserable performance and a big time "off" day for him.

Until they say Rodgers isn't playing, then I expect him at 100%....even him at 75% is better than most QB's in the league...I say we rest him for most of the game by controlling about 40+ minutes of game clock....

I have watched Dallas blitz and it has not been very good, blitzing and not getting to the QB is disaster. Not saying do not blitz at all but a steady dose of blitz vs GB will lead to a lot of points. Only one being clueless is you

Nah, his calf injury is far more serious I think than the Packers are saying. I completely understand the hush-hush with the injury, this is the playoffs and Rodgers is a great QB even when he doesn't scramble, but seeing a guy drop over in pain and being carted off the field due to a little scramble tells me it's a serious injury he's playing through.

Let’s put it this way you work and prepare for a Rodgers who is 100%

I just want to play Rogers because the Cowboys can't stop backup QB's!
It's not like the Cowboys have all their best players out there. Free, Durant, Melton, Mclain possibly, etc. Plus, our All Pro RB has a broken hand. Who cares what anybody thinks about the win?
Seattle gets to play Carolina!

Don't try to 'decipher' anything. You prepare for him as if he's 100%. It's the playoffs, his leg could be falling off and he'd find a way to play.

He will absolutely not be as mobile but he's still dangerous, at least we don't have to worry about him scrambling for first downs.

Yeah basically if we let him sit back in the pocket it won't matter much but if we make him move it will matter a lot.

I would try to blitz up the middle so that he has to scramble some. He is going to have very hard time with that.

well meine astute fiend, even though we half a bad blitz ever dog half his day. And even if they half a bad day blitzing, i say anything to hurry the QB up or to make him wary or rattle him.
Look, Rogers might be the MVP and the most successful QB so I say MAKE HIM THE TARGET. I mean that from the bottom of meine tiny heart. Go after the head of the snake as we say at the dominos hall in Farmers Branch.

say what you will guys like Rodgers will eat a blitz alive if you bring it and do not get it you will pay and this defense is not set up for that. Rod know what his guys can and can't do and I doubt is going to change everything he has done to get them to this point. All these sayings are great but there is another be who you are, do what got you to this point

Rod Marinelli has coached against Rodgers every single season since Rodgers became the starter. Likewise for Rodgers.

I don't think either of them are going to be surprised by much they see on Sunday.

Nor do I but Rod also coaches to what his players can and can't do. I don't see Rod putting guys in a position to fail. That is not to say Dallas will not blitz at times or show blitz and back out rushing the 4 but Dallas has not been an Philly type live by the blitz and die by the blitz team. GB and Rodgers are pretty good about picking up blitz and hitting you for quick strikes and I doubt Dallas will want to play that game when it is not something we have done all year long. I don't see the Cowboys getting away from what they have done to this point.

Thinking is not a bad thing.

I don't expect to see Dallas not blitzing at all I just think given how poor we have done with the blitz that the last QB you would want to do that too is Rodgers, the guy will feast on us if we fail to get there and there is nothing I have seen to suggest our Blitz will all of a sudden come to life. Dallas has to be who they are and play the way they have that has gotten them here.
