Anyone impressed with the Saints?

Think when we play Saints it will be a close game. Our defense will rise to the occasion like last year when we beat Jints with Choice running.

Yea they are good. They may be peaking too early however.remember this is the Aints.

Doubt it. Drew Brees is gonna lite us up.

Ok, can we hold them under 50 points?

No, not if they really want it. You are talking about the siv like Cowboys secondary versus Brees. Mismatch city.

Their defense still isn't very good. Sooner or later, you have to play some good defense in this league.

when they are scoring over 40 and their D is only giving up 20 something.....it doesnt matter if their D isnt very good.

BTW, the additions of Sharper and Coach Williams have drastically improved that Saints defense. While they arent a top 5 defense, they are good enough to compliment that high powered juggernaut offense.

I think they're hitting their peak. They are GREAT though. All the league can do is hope they're peaking too early because if they get better from here this is the Pats all over again. They finally have a solid defense. I think the Cowboys can compete with them. I think the Cowboys can stop their run. They rack up a lot of rushing yards but there rushing isn't that impressive. The key will be obviously the secondary and pass rush. It was mind boggling to me why the Giants didn't blitz. I guess they feel they don't have to with that d-line but they got no pressure on Brees. If he's going to have all day to throw against we're doomed before we start the game.

Excellent game by the Saints OL, but the Gnats secondary just looked clueless out there too. Coughlin tried to shoot it out when falling behind and that was his mistake. A good clock controlling ground game, could slow down the Saints' high powered offense and keep the game close.

Hopefully, that team will be ours come December.

Very Impressed.

As of now, they are my team to predict going to the NFC Championship game. Maybe against the Vikings.

Of course the Saints did dominate a secondary that was missing the great Aaron Ross.

That secondary was so bad, it made Reggie Bush look good.

It seemed that New York played alot of zone, zone and no pass rush equaled disaster for New York.

It always does us in...

I'm not overly impressed with them. Brees is waxing poetic on my fantasy team though. That said, I have tickets to the Dec 19th game in the Superdome and fully expect our underwhelming squad to get taken to the house by the Saints.

NY probably figured they will meet them again in the playoffs so they showed very little. they didn't blitz us a lot either but they will when we play them again.

That seems ridiculous. You're potentially sacrificing home field advantage just to remain sneaky for the next time you meet.

Unlikely.

I really doubt that. They just made a bad decision during the week on how they were going to control the Saints.

Hardly, you play to win always and always. That could've been the battle for homefield.

I'm not saying they threw the game guys. i'm saying they played very basic atleast on defense just like against us. it worked against us and it didn't against Brees.

I think they thought they could pressure Brees with there front four and cover up there depleted secondary with zone. All is fine and well with that plan if you get pressure on the quarterback. The difference between us and New Orleans is that the Saints didn't have 4 turnovers or numerous penalties negating big plays.Just my opinion.

Cowboys don't play the Saints very well. It could be a massacre. But, if the DBs are playing man to man, I think that will help, and a better pass rush will also be a big help. New York's running game was not a big factor either, but being behind so early, Eli had to pass. 14 for 31 isn't very good if your name is Romo, but Eli will probably get a pass.
