Anyone still happy about the 5th round pick?

And he was really good last year.

He's a big upgrade over Brown. Think of it this way. Gilmore at $9 million and we are paying Lewis $5 million? Gilmore at $9 million is a way better option (I really think we should just cut Lewis at this point).

Why wouldn’t you keep Lewis too?

Why did you leave out the first pick of ours last year in the 5th? Matt Waletzko? He was picked before any of the guys you listed.

And why just use last year? What about Simi Fehoko from 2021? Anae from 2020? Mike White from 2019?

I'll take Gilmore for a 5th any day over any guy we've taken in the 5th in the history of this organization.

Where's Lewis playing? You can save $5 million on the cap cutting him. Mukuamu has shown promise is a hybrid slot/safety role too.

Lewis is expendable.

But injuries happen and I’d feel better about Lewis in there then a rookie. But I mean at this point probably time to make a decision on Joseph and Wright.

It’s funny though the 2019 and 2018 picks have been starting for other teams lol. Well Mike Jackson and Mike White for some starts in for the Jets.

This screams Jerry and Stephen….this is like a few years ago when they traded for Quinn and Michael Bennett.

Interesting take and I can’t really argue it. Just seems like the player is a bit better and bigger swing then normal but it’s all feel. I have no idea.

Its not the picks but the 9M in cap space that concerns me. Gilmore WAS a great CB, but he is not that guy anymore.

Thats a lot of money for a 32 year old CB with an unknown amount of juice left in the tank.

Maybe they renegotiate. To a 2 year deal, lowering that cap hit this year. Then as the cap increases next year, it won't be as bad as you think it is.

So what will they do with Lewis.

Unless they plan to move on from or Wright or Joseph, I can't see a CB until day 3, and if they are the BPA or one drops to them in rounds 1 to 3. So 4th at the earliest.But can't see that either.

However, it is what this team does at times way over load on one position while ignoring another, such at LB or DT.
