Anyone still thinks this leads to an Adrian Peterson signing?

For all of the negative Nancies who don't think we will go after Peterson, I seriously doubt you all have ROCK SOLID confidence in a running back corps of McFadden, Randle, and Dunbar to collectively get it done this year. If you do, you better pray that Romo doesn't go down for 3-4 games because you can kiss a SB appearance good-bye. A RB like Peterson could keep defenses honest if we had to go with Weeeeeden for 3-4 games...McFadden, et. al can't!

I have question about our current RB situation, however Peterson is a member of the Vikes they don't give a damn about Dallas situation. I'm sure if someone is willing to dangle a big offer they will listen but right now they see Peterson being a big asset to them and the development of Teddy Bridgewater as Peterson would help take pressure off of him. They are not out there to do Dallas any favors. This is not being negative it is being realistic.

If you take off your own Cowboy hat a second and put yourself in Minn position why should they give up Peterson without getting major compensation in return?

This reminds me when everyone wanted to trade Dexter Coakly for every big name player out there as if these other teams were a bunch of morons who would actually trade a great player for a jag

oh there was for a while when AP was really making noise about wanting out. But that is all in the end it was- noise.

He was allowed to talk to other teams and determined that no team would pay him what the Vikings are scheduled to pay him.

2015: $12.75 million
2016: $14.75 million
2017: $16.75 million
2018: Free Agent

I think it will happen. The Vikings did just fine without AP last season.

Here is a little tidbit from the Daily Norseman about their RB situation this year: "I really have the feeling that the Vikings see McKinnon as a potential heir apparent to Peterson, maybe as soon as next season. If Peterson should get hurt, McKinnon is probably going to slot in as the main guy. If you're in a fantasy league and you take Peterson early, you should probably toss a late-round pick at McKinnon, too. As far as Asiata. . .well, he was third in the NFL in rushing touchdowns last season, but I don't see him vulturing too many goal line carries away from Peterson."

raft would have gotten too low in the water and they both would have frozen to death.
What she should have done was stayed in the lifeboat with her mom. Jack would have had a much better chance of survival if he didn't have to worry about wetnursing her through the whole disaster.
I wanted AP but not at the cost of a first. One can always dream but it seems pretty clear that they have kissed and made up (at least publicly)
The difficulty in getting AP was never cap related (certainly not short-term cap related) so I agree that this new Bryant deal doesn't affect AP.

This team is so close. Why let one position dash all of our hopes and dreams? If it can be done, then it should be done. Period.

Our #1 will be low next year anyway.

AP would basically guarantee a Super Bowl appearance barring major injury. How much is that worth to Cowboys fans?
