Anyone Think We Should Trade Crayton to the 'Fins?

Crayton is a hell of a possession slot receiver when we actually use him in such a manner. Why would we want to trade that?

Maybe we can trade RJ to the Phins...

Couldn't agree more. I feel that one of the problems with the RW acquisition is that the offense got away from using Crayton who was very effective last season.

As much as I have criticized Crayton for his mouth and his performance in the Giants playoff game last year, he was underutilized this year and is very underrated.

He would be like our Steve Breaston if we would throw the ball to him. If we trade him, I betcha he's going to be a good receiver for some team.

Who is RJ?
Totally agree. Seemed like he used to come up with BIG 3rd down catches. I too was down on him because of his chatter and that coincided with teh drop against teh Giants, but he was totally not used this year and it is hard to understand.

The Fins wanted Anthony Henry before. I assume they still will.

I honestly don't see Crayton going anywhere.

I can see Carpenter and Henry going to the Fins in a trade for Beck and a pick.

To be honest I would love someone much quicker in that spot (and quieter too). But I do agree if we keep him he needs to become more involved again. He is good for what he does.

But please, find a real punt returner too...

We have gone completely away from what Romo does best too. I don't know if it is the absence of Sparona or BP. I remember all the talk about how BP stressed getting rid of the ball quickly, how they would count to 3 in practice and the ball should be gone.

Romo needs that kind of influence again. Those kind of routes and options available again.

Garrett needs to revamp this offense or take it back to what it was!

I really think you could see the problems this offense set itself up for developing in the SF game and the Seattle game where they were so greedy trying to go deep consistently and not working the ball down the field.

I not saying we should trade Crayton because he is a problem, I'm saying we have a glut at WR and he seems like a player we could get some value for and the Dolphins just happen to need a WR.

I thought the object was to "build" a good team ...not cut or trade everyone on the roster for draft picks that may or may not pan out.....

I can think of several players I'd ship to Miami right now. He's not one of them.

If you were talking Bobby Carpenter, Patrick Watkins or Pat McQuistin, absolutely.
and finally, for good measure, Cory Proctor.

why in heavens do we want more draft picks in this draft ?

The trading of Crayton isn't a terrible idea, but not for more draft picks in THIS draft. We already have 9, plus whatever comp picks we're going to get, and we don't have nearly enough room for probably half of them.

If they give us a 4rth rounder do it!!!

What are you going to do with THREE 4th round draft picks that you can't do with 2, including the first pick in the round ?

After watching yesterday's game the 'Fins need help at WR and Crayton would be a perfect guy to go along with the speed burner Ted Ginn. I don't know if we could get a 3rd for him, but with Austin ready for a breakout year we need to get rid of a WR. I think we should trade Crayton, his contract isn't huge and it would allow Miles to step up after an injury plagued season. Plus, Hurd will be back as the 4th guy and he is a solid STs guy that we should keep for that reason alone.

No, we dont need to trade Crayton. He's far better than Hurd, who is the most likely WR not to be here next yr.

Crayton runs the best routes and has the best hands of any of our WR's, I'm not sure why you people want him gone so bad. lot of teams would be thrilled to have him.

Wrong....

Get rid of him.

The last thing this team needs is a 4.65 WR, who is overpaid, with a big mouth, that plays small in big games.

yeah because all 4.65 wideouts are busts...where as every 4.23 wideout is a boneafide super star.. According to you we should get rid of 80% of the roster with your "big mouth, plays small in big games." as well

Why does it have to be the Fins?

If Parcells is still there, he would be a good fit for that team. He would do good there.

They want Austin, not Crayton.

And Crayton was one of the first to speak out on Parcells when he left.

Send them Stanback for their playoff ticket stubs.

Maybe if our players can see those they will at least get mad.

He does good here. We need to keep players like him.
