He's been at the top of the draft for DLs for so long, without having electrifying sack numbers. That translates to 'pedestrian' for some people. It's hard not to fall into the trap of thinking your top-5 pick has to be an all star player. This draft doesn't look to have a lot of candidates for that type of production. There's Ramsey and Jack and Tunsil who all look to have a shot, but that's about it.
But at #4, I just want to not miss on the best defender on our board. Or the 2nd best if SD takes the best one we had rated. Whatever level that ends up being, just don't whiff. Add the pieces, coach them up, and hope the combination is powerful enough that the whole team builds on itself. I don't care what round my all pros come from as long as they have company on the roster.
