Apparently Cowboys are only team that allows anybody to walk through facilities during practice

I think it's ridiculous but Jerry's been doing it for years. Typical foolishness here. The priority certainly isn't winning or even trying to win. The circus keeps rolling along..

Yup, what's the fun in having to actually try to win when you can literally show everyone your playbook for extra money? Why not have the playcalls into Dak's Helmet be played for the entire stadium on Sunday through a deal with Bose? I should probably stop before I give Jerry ideas lol

Like I said the other day, Jerry's stuck in 1998. He doesn't seem to comprehend how easily we are vulnerable. No wonder we don't win in the playoffs! The opposing team knows our plays like we do!!!
Well I’m not saying it the actual problem and anyone is doing it, but why take the chance?

Why make players see the circus, then wonder why they aren’t prepared to play football and it’s about the bag. They follow what they see.

Helicopters on the field. Telling players what numbers to wear. I mean come on.

As a fan I’m embarrassed and am getting closer to no longer wanting to bother, but I’m pissed off enough to where I’m going to continue to vent. This was once a big deal to me. Losing is one thing, losing this way is something else.

Has anyone else heard about this? Apparently, if someone pays a certain amount, they can tour The Star and watch practice. Rather than putting a curtain over the windows during practice, apparently people can watch practice.
Remember the whole spy gate situation back in the day because the Patriots, allegedly, recorded other teams' practices?
Jerry's version of spy gate is called "Allow Gate".

Right, I'm not saying it's guaranteed to be why we are struggling, but my goodness. I'm sorry, if you're dumb enough to let others into the building, then you deserve to have your signals and playbook stolen.

Like I said, if you're dumb enough to let anyone in your building during an NFL practice, then you deserve to have your plays and signals stolen. Its like unlocking your bank vault and letting anyone watch what goes on there. You deserve to have your money stolen if you do that.

It's actually even worse than just fans, I think Dr. Pepper and several others office at the Star and have literally hundreds of offices that overlook the practice field. I also did the Star tour and asked about people filming practice and the answer was "they'd be in trouble IF THEY WERE FOUND OUT." Lol. I knew a guy that worked in one of those offices and he said it was incredibly easy to not only film practice but even hear the calls. It really does underscore the $$ first approach of the Jones'. I will say I think the tour guide did say the coaches were aware of this and would do any significant proprietary installs indoors out of caution.

I mean, maybe, but my point is what's stopping a team from using it against us? If the other team can literally get an idea of our plays from what they see during our practices, then that's still a disadvantage.
If they're kicking the media out during team practices, something tells me they're not having tours during practice either. They're also limiting electronic usage during practice, as well.

Tours passing through as they're working out in the gym is not a disadvantage, weird to look at guys working out, tho.

Hang on, I know Dr. Pepper is headquartered in Plano. You mean to say they have corporate offices among others at the Star? Explains Dr. Pepper being heavily into sports over the last few years.

As for "trouble if found out", yeah right. I can literally, from a Google Maps satellite view see how easily they could be filmed. Not to mention they could just record and act like they're texting from their phones when a play is run. All in all, why even take the chance that your team can be found out?

True, but the way that JJ Watt it was that there's a possibility that the players could be watched during practice too.

It was some sort of beverage company. Maybe Keurig? I also edited my comment to mention that the guide said they would do any signifcant installs inside to guard against theft. But I'm sure anyone who knows football on other teams could still gain alot from outdoor practice footage.

Edit: actually, it's both! https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/k...star/287-2dedb664-a3d2-4f99-844e-60e8680fa1ed

I'm sure they're vetting people and not allowing cameras...you're also assuming that they're allowing people in at install, which would be opposite to the way they run training camp when most of practice is closed.

At least not in the FO apparently. Why not just have Mike McCarthy put the next play on the Jumbotron that we're about to run!!
Oh you are on to something. What if they gave each seat 2 buttons. On the jumbotron they can show 2 plays and every person in a seat can push 1 button to select which play the boys run next. Maybe even attach a $ fee so it cost $1.00 every time you vote. Come on jerry that's $80000 a play you could be making or more if you let them vote by phone.

Makes sense since Keurig and Dr. Pepper are under the same umbrella. And exactly, just looking at the Google Maps view, I see the Dr. Pepper/7up corporation office. I can see other offices there. I would imagine. They'd have to have some way to prevent others from watching during practice from other teams, but why take the chance?

Sure, and I would hope they have some way of doing it. My question is, if it's so secure, why don't other teams do what we do?

They could turn it into Madden. For an extra $1,000, one lucky fan can use an Xbox controller to select a play that gets sent to McCarthy's headset that he has to run!

Oh, better yet, a section of seats during the game gets to vote on the next play while the current play is being run. Whatever receives the most votes gets buzzed to Mike!! And it's set in a Madden type of way where you can see the next 3 plays. For extra, you can hit "Ask Mike"
