Archer: Cap space coming next week

Specific date.. Im not sure when that is tho.. lol

Was reading earlier we are almost 60mill over at the moment.
March 11th

Current cap situation

Total Cap Liabilities: $387,234,074
  • Top 51: $356,667,014
  • Team Cap Space: ($56,133,904)
    • Offense: $237,271,293
    • Defense: $118,385,271
    • Special: $5,583,333

I think if the LT situation was more stable they would do it. Passing on a cap savings of 14m relative to his performance is criminal.

Also don’t forget that they are proud of themselves for ‘finding’ that UDFA…the insane second deal they gave him is clear evidence.

It’s insane how they fight with their top players but hand dudes like him no hassle over payment.
Add Osa and Bland to that list.

Who do you want them to sign?
If they want to show everyone things are changing. Hendrickson.

Sorry to tell you. Dean doesn’t move the needle. He is another Overshown. Spends more time in the medical tent than on the field.

And the fact you’re sitting here saying “they’re probably going to sign Dean!” Like it’s something to get excited about shows how low your bar is.

It has nothing to do with my bar. I just stated a player that I think they will sign.

You have been saying all off season things are different and they are moving differently.

Now you are realizing its going to be more of the same and you are pivoting. As usual.

You were saying Pickens was excited about the tag, then proceeded to say he will sit out of training camp. Which one is it?

Y'all need to stop because you are showing that you will spin anything to not admit this FO is clueless.

Is that saying we are $56 mill under?

Coz everything I have read says we are over around that.

Think they around $9-10 million before the next restructuring
I just did a quick AI search.. I don't normally coz they have errors sometimes.

But it looks like you are right.. which is brilliant.

I don't completely agree. If we sign Dean to the typical one-year deal, then we clearly haven't changed the philosophy any. If they sign Dean to a three-year deal, then to me, that shows some change. They are still trying to sign a bargain since Dean is coming off an injury, but the commitment would show us something different.

Dean may just happen to be the linebacker that Parker wants, so I can't say his signing wouldn't indicate change. The deal he signs would determine that IMO.

Now, we need to see more than that if we went that route.

Let's not forget about the highest paid player in football who is carrying around all that dead weight.
Zach Martin is counting $16.5m this year

That was the dumbest contract the cowboys signed in the last decade and that counts DakZ. Guy was cooked, held out of camp with years left on his deal, got a bag, proceeded to have his worst year ever and then retired two years ago.

Ok, we'll see if they use it
The Cowboys’ frugality is exposed. It’s a surprise to very few that the Cowboys have spent the lowest amount of any NFL team in free agency over the last six offseasons.

And it’s not even close. While other teams have spent hundreds of millions to bolster their rosters, the Cowboys have operated with a budget that suggests they are paying their outside free agents with gift cards to the team’s pro shop

He deserved the benefit of the doubt. #4...just doubt.

If they sign Dean it’s not a move in the right direction.

Him and overshown can share stories on IR though so there’s that I guess.

I can't think of a much "dummer" free agent signing than Hendrickson!
