Too me Carr is not a must. We need new blood back in the secondary. Trumaine Johnson would be a nice option. Saying that if we brought back Carr at a reasonable price that would be OK. I believe Church is a priority he had a great season. I'd bring back Mo at the same deal he had last year too.
Trumaine Johnson would be another Carr signing. He had a down year after Jenkins left and Johnson was forced to be the top corner. Lets keep Carr for cheap and draft a corner to develop by the 3rd round.

Are people forgetting about Brown and Scandrick? I think Brown can jump into a starting role and I think that he played as well as Claiborne and Carr. Scandrick needs to get healthier as he was clearly not last season.

I think that having Brown gives Dallas the ability to let Claiborne walk. I'm not opposed to signing Carr, however, we should draft another CB anyway.

I'd like to keep TMcClain, Mo and Church, the rest can walk.

I'm intentionally forgetting about Scandrick. He struggled to stay healthy and then just plain struggled. He needs to turn it around.

I agree with this. Instead of settling for Carr because the only other option is injury-prone Claiborne, let's see if we can upgrade. There are multiple higher-rated corners than Carr expected to be available in FA, including Johnson.

I don't mind bringing Claiborne back for cheap if we do sign a FA, and I don't mind bringing Church back ... although I also wouldn't mind if we seek an upgrade there. (There are fewer available, though, as Church is rated by Walter Football as the fourth-best available.)

They signed Alfred Morris to be that every down cover. Still wonder what landed him in the dog house.
He didn't produce with limited carries. He'd be a nice insurance policy in the event of Zeke missing games but I don't like him to spell Zeke.

Carr and Church.

Ugh.

We just love mediocre secondary play. I'd rather roll the die on Claiborne over Carr. Yeah, I know the injury history but when he was healthy, he was clearly a superior CB to Carr. I'll take the risk on talent over steady, but mediocre, play every time.

Hard to take Archer seriously when he claims Church is valuable for his "playmaking". Wut? He's a solid, unspectacular safety. He is not a playmaker back there.

I would let Leary, TWill, Church, Carr, Butler, Escobar, TMcClain, JCrawford, Dunbar go for the comp picks

I would re-sign Mo, Wilcox, Butler, Sanchez and even DMC for the vet min

Could maybe get a 4,4,6,7.......means we wouldn't be players in FA but we never are

Everything I agree with except for Sanchez. He sucks. I'd rather let Moore be the backup. Honestly, he showed more in 2015 at QB than Sanchez did in that Eagles game. He was putrid.

I think re-signing DT McClain would be wise.
For the right price of course.
He is very solid and he may not break the bank to sign.
I think nagging injuries caused his late season slowdown.
I do think he will get some interest from 4-3 teams.

For everyone saying that they can let the majority walk, who are you going to replace them with? Uncertain rookies? Mid-level FA's?

If you want to upgrade someone, you have to keep them and groom a replacement unless you hit on a top tier FA signing.

Re-sign as much of these guys if possible, and draft at those same positions.

Carr and Church need to be re-signed. Then McClain.

Mo should be cheap.

Draft at S, CB and see if you can replace Church and Carr in the future. Wouldn't let them walk without an improvement though. They are very solid players.

Carr, Mo, TMac, Church. That's who I'd like back. Don't want to rebuild too much. Carr is solid, Mo is really good (if healthy, duh). TMac is a stud. Church is "good" at what he does and was having a nice season before the injury. Jones really shores up our backend secondary to the benefit of Church.

We let all these guys go like so many want, we have more holes to fill. Those four are musts, imo, and can be had for reasonable contracts.
