Also, here's a reason I'm feeling optimistic. This team is young. Most of the players have been on the team for less than 3 years. Last season was the first playoff game for a lot of the players. Yet, despite all of this, a lot of good things happened. The team followed up a Murphy's Law-type of season in 2020 with a very good 12-5 record. We learned that our defence is reliable. Also, we swept our division (before you say our division is crap, we were the only division in the NFC excluding the NFC West to have more than one playoff team). Sure, the playoffs didn't go as well as we'd have liked. However, I think that it gave our younger players a great deal of experience.
One thing I'm glad to see that they've addressed is kicker. That was a glaring weakness last year, and that probably cost us the 1 seed. If our kicking game is better, that can be a massive help, especially if we are on the road in the playoffs in a place like Green Bay. Having a reliable kicker is important. Also, a more experienced team is helpful.
