Are Crayton's days as a Cowboy numbered?

With his possible demotion to 3rd WR and the apparent loss of his return duties, is Crayton on his way out?

I have to assume (hope) that we will be taking at least one or two receivers in this year draft, and probably one before the 3rd round for a change, so we may be getting some fresh talent in here soon.

Thoughts?

Crayton is at his best at the slot position. Why would his days be numbered? He is playing the position he plays best.

Possible, but if we're going to get rid of him I would hope we would at least get something in return.

Crayton + Cash to Oakland for Asomugha. Al Davis will do it.

I think he is a good fit at the slot and think he can contribute to this team. I don't know when his contract is up but in the meantime I think Crayton can still be a big asset to the team

I hope we entertain trade offers. He's rubbed me the wrong way for some time. I don't care to get into why and i don't care to bash him. I'd just be glad if he were gone.

he is a very good asset. I'd hate to lose him.

Folks here are just fickle. After game 1 people were in love with him.

Just because he was relieved of his punt return duties dosen't mean his days are numbered. I'm just glad we made a move. It shows some accountability.

Well ya, we wouldn't just cut him. WR for WR trade maybe?

Hurd is more likely to go IMO.

Agree. Hurd is a free agent and Crayton was signed to a big deal. The only way Crayton leaves is through a trade.

On top of that, Crayton's gameday contributions all around are greater than Rossum's.

I'm not sure if he was demoted or if he was put back into his natural position. Slot isn't a demotion. Wes Welker plays a lot of slot. We are overreacting to what Crayton did this Sunday. He'll be fine. He's still a threat in hte passing game.

Hes cheap and he can be a good slot receiver for us.

No need to get rid of him unless someone wants to trade a high quality player for him.

True, the cowboys were not happy with the return game and saw an opportunity to make an improvement and did so

4 years and 14 million 6 mill SB is big? Huh

Crayton is a good receiver and Romo has great chemistry with him.

Still, I'd like to see some young talent in here within the next 2 years. I feel like a 2nd-3rd round pick would automatically jump over Hurd.

Talking out of your *** again I see.

Crayton signed a 4yr 14 mil deal. Hardly a "big deal".

Big enough. Why else is Barber still getting touches in a game where Tashard Choice was far and away playing better?

You don't pay people bunches of dollars to sit. The only way Crayton leaves is via trade.

And insightful and insult-free comments would largely be a better way to have a positive debate around here, but I think you're in over your head just a bit. I could be wrong!
