Before the game started it was said the 49ers were going to make Dak beat them. So, the 9ers pretty much told us (literally) they didn't fear the QB.
They even told us their game plan... :omg:

As the week went on, we started to see more and more “analysts” and media members doing “film review”, and a lot of them came away with the notion that are receivers arent winning on the routes and are getting locked down in man coverage.

Ceedee has been getting slandered all week by dudes like Richard Sherman and Dan Orlovsky saying hes not a real number 1.

What do yall think?
Nah. It's the quarterback.

this is the NFL. The NFL Open is different from the college Open. Put on your big boy panties and throw the ball. sheesh. What does he need 4 yards of separation to throw the ball.

Yep everyone is at fault for not carrying the baby dak......

I think it doesn't matter.
Dak wouldn't hit them if they are wide open when he chokes.
Gallup should be gone- I will give you that.
But to try and put blame on the receivers - again - just doesn't cut it.

How many more excuses is Dak going to get? It's ALWAYS someone else's fault. Besides Jerry, he's the common denominator. How many careers does Dak get to torch before the truth is admitted?
I dont doubt Dak has its his warts. Stats suggest he is a decent to good producing employee at a very difficult position. We can argue all day about big games or Playoffs stats...those are difficult for all QB's; and those QB's need a team around them to win those games usually.

What I suspect is...the decision to can a QB is harder than this board makes it out to be. Granted, teams seem to have been more willing to ditch a QB quicker in recent years(they still pay through the roof even if a busdriver)....Philly and San Fran did it and were successful but got LUCKY with their QB's...no one thought Hurts was going to be anything and Purdy was last pick in the draft....EVERY SCOUT GOT IT WRONG ON PURDY.

My opinion is...you can Dak and there is no quick game plan or the guy behind Rush looks cheeks...Smith and Martin request trades or retire. My point is...sometimes you have to think about the locker room and other players careers. Canning the most important position Willy Nilly can cause problems too.

Dak is a good game manager. He needs a good/great running game to succeed. He cannot carry a team. If GM can come to grips with this then you can build a team around him.
Right now GM is treating Dak like he's Roger Starbauch/Troy Aikman who can carry a team.

Dak's best years were when Zeke was ELITE.
Not drafting a RB early this year was a BIG mistake. RB would have been far more impactful than TE.

I dont disagree with the RB suggestion.

Ceedee has looked upset on the field since last year. He could be a bad teammate as far as having no filter of his body language in the heat of the moment...but I am more curious if Ceedee looking frustrated on the field many times since last year is with Dak or play calling.

It appears to be the play design and calls. Routes are too short this year. But also note the production of the RB from last yr as compared to this year so far. There has been no explosive runs by RB. This translates to less respect for runs and defend pass. IMO.
Dak is not the QB for pass first offense. History says that. If you want to stick with Dak then you build RB/OL as priority if you want any chance at success.

Jalen Hurt isn't much different really. Philly is using him correctly and not asking him to carry the team by passing. Philly relies on it's OL and run to set up lot of passes which break your back. Jalen would not succeed in Dallas either in the current personnel.

No, Ceedee Lamb is fine.

I think Dak still has this vision of Michael Gallup in his head that just does not exist anymore. Since 2020+ he's ranked close to bottom of the league in separation.
For a guy who is supposed to be strong he gets bullied at the top of routes.

I think we have talent legitimately, I just think they aren't seeing the field.

Lamb, Tolbert, Cooks and Turpin is legitimately a good group.

I also think we in an underrated sense have a very good TE group.

I legitimately believe if we leaned into our tight end our offense would be elite. Jake Ferguson is very good, and Luke Schoonmaker is good..the guy is 6'5 and 4.6 as a tight end. That is legitimately like having a WR that runs a 4.3. Get him on linebackers and safeties man.

I think we need to implement pre-snap motions and snap the ball while a player is in motion. The teams having the most success are utilizing motions. I've been saying this since Moore got here. He did that well. His only problem was motion plays decreased at away games, likely because of crowd noise.

Cooper would of been perfect for this scheme, although he fits virtually any.

Are our receivers the issue?
The whole team has issues, Willie B. Special Teams gets a pass here. But it's obvious to a non-biased fan that we have a whole lotta problems we need to work out. I haven't sounded the panic alarm just yet, but I'll have my hand on it come Monday night. Lol
