Are the Cowboys starting to question David Irving's commitment?

Who says they are cutting him? And how is he improving the team from the sidelines?
A question you can't intelligently ask.
What?
No one says they are cutting him and at no point did I say they were or should.
Start over and read my initial post that you responded to and then ask me a real question.

Love these guys who get the opportunity of a lifetime to play a professional sport but don't "love" it. So let me ask what David Irving is going to do for a living if its not football? I suppose he can flip burgers or mow lawns. But hee will never pull in the cash he does playing football. I suggest he talks to some guy who would love to play but either washed out or got injured and can't play anymore.
Where is anything saying Irving doesn’t love football? The speculative article that is a reach from the title on a web site that isn’t any more legit that us talking on this message board.

And why the assumption he would be “flipping burgers”.
Maybe he would be an accountant. Do you know his major in college? Was it even in the culinary department? What is this assumption based on?

Two suspensions and multiple failed drug tests.

Dude is the next Rolando McClain. Both could have easily been going to Pro Bowls and making 10 million a season if they just wanted to pull their heads out and even put a little bit of effort into football. Neither one really wants to.

I see the David Irving fan club has dwindled down to one.
Some of us were ready to move on after he didn't show in camp.
This guy had a chance at 8-figure guaranteed money and squandered it.
That's really all we need to know.

Nick Eatman basically told anyone willing to listen that Irving was done 2 months ago. Can't believe some fans are still waiting for him to return. Jerry will dress it up as a good politician normally does.
I have looked and couldn't find. I am just wanting to see what the media saw ahead of time before we all hated him or at least disliked his conduct/choices

The kid has an opportunity that few every get and it sure as hell looks like he plans on blowing it. One day when he is 30yrs old he will look back and say Boy did I F up. Hate to see that happen and with Jerry as the owner you really have to screw it up bigly to lose out in the end.
One thing about jerry is he will help these troubled kids. I don’t remember the receivers name from Arkansas but jerry helped him even after he left the league. Gregory and others he’s spent his money to get them help and some he knew wouldn’t ever play. Gregory I Hope is on track but it takes tremendous effort on the players part. You can’t help someone who won’t help themselves
Such a waste of talent but I don’t know that Irving gets what he’s losing
You are right though
One day he’s gonna look back and see just what he threw away

Eatman has been making comments during the podcast Cowboys Break, basically telling the audience not to hold your breath waiting for Irving to return this season. And that the ankle injury was not his biggest issue as it relates to him playing football. The first time I heard it was at least 4 weeks ago. As a member of the team’s official website, this is not a guy fishing clicks or subscribers.

No doubt the guy has talent but I have questioned his love of the game and the willingness to give his all to this team. If he stays in Dallas I would hope it will be on a cheaper deal but I would also put DT as one of the priorities in the draft

I'm still hoping for something down the stretch from players like Irving, Austin, Taco and Lee. I get the frustration but there's still football to be played and games to be won. Right now I want as much talent available to me as possible, the offseason will be here soon enough but a more talented roster could delay its arrival.
if we are going to win a playoff game or 3 we will need them all, even if its 3 games from DI, he makes difference when on the field..all 3 of those guys could infuse some energy into this team..

Yeah. We also love the logic that we need to make excuses for him being an absolute brain donor. He's pretty much worthless. So yeah, he will most likely be gone at the end of this year. What a waste of skin he is. .
I think cutting or not resigning him next year is a fore gone convulsion. The question is should they just cut him now.

Irving is dead to me....the guy probably can't even spell regret (Irving: R-E-G-U-R-T, regret)...he is nothing but a bonus to me if he ever gets back on the field for Dallas...I can't see that happening - prove me wrong you big dummy, prove me wrong

The guy doesn’t want to play. There’s nothing wrong with him. He just doesn’t want to play football.
