All I know is Tomlin wouldnt have gone 1-11 without his starting QB, thats for sure

He survived a three starting QB season last year to at least equal Garrett's best one playoff win.

He has won football games with Charlie Batch, Byron Leftwich, Dennis Dixon, Mike Vick and Landry Jones.

Roethlisberger > Romo
Brown > Dez
Bell> Elliott (at this point, cause Elliott hasn't played)

Tomlin > Garrett

Pitt D > Dal D

other than that you might can compare the two teams

oh and Rooney>Jones

Hey, Dallas has a vastly superior offensive line and placekicker.

If I were choosing a QB to win me a championship game, I am sorry but I would have to choose Roethlisberger, mainly because he has done it.

That is not a slam on Romo, but for some reason it seems that choosing anyone save Brady over him seems to be offensive to our fans. There is nothing wrong with recognizing that Romo is a good QB but there are things that others are better at.

Well their DBs suck like ours. BW Webb was a member on both.

They are really damn good at finding WRs...that's for sure

Plex
Wallace
Sanders
Brown
Bryant

Quite remarkable

Markus Wheaton's next on the list. Really nice emerging player.

The Cowboys have one quality wideout and he doodled on his wonderlic.

Pittsburgh, like Green Bay, has been consistent adding talented WR's almost every draft...

Antonio Brown, Western Michigan, 2010 6th round pick
Markus Wheaton, Oregon State, 2013 3rd round pick
Martavis Bryant, Clemson, 2014 4th round pick
Sammie Coates, Auburn, 2015 3rd round pick
Demarcus Ayers, Houston, 2016 7th round pick

It also allowed them to easier move on from MIke Wallace (2009 3rd rounder) and Emanuel Sanders(2010 3rd rounder) when they were looking for big free agent deals.

I cant argue that. Roethlisberger is a great QB. Im not one of those fans that say "If Romo had this....he woulda won a SB too", but I cant get over how great he was in 2014. He was better than Rodgers, Brady, Big Ben, and every other QB imo. Obviously that was almost 2 years ago, but hopefully he can get back to that level of play.

Anyone that claims to be a Cowboy fan but not concerned the defense just isn't paying attention. The defense is a glearing concern for it's diehard fan base.

Comparing teams in different divisions and conferences is not the best way to discern strengths and weaknesses. A better picure of the Cowboys can be gleened by comparing them to the other team from PA... same division, same conference.

They self evaluated their options at the position very well. Most people thought they were crazy when they chose Antonio Brown over Wallace when both were up for deals. They nailed that one giving the money to Wallace.

Is this a serious rebuttal?

Eli Manning will be in Canton, Romo will not is true also, but we know who the superior QB is.

If Ben was in Dallas he would have 0 rings as well.

I can't say for sure that Ben would have 0 rings in Dal, Romo has lost a lot of big games in the past for us. tell us how Romo is a better Qb than Roethlisberger when comparing the two teams now?

Steelers have a better coach and above everything else, a philosophy for the organization that never wavers.

Two huge differences beyond the talent.

Let me say first that I love Tomlin, I like the way he approaches the game and the way he handles the media but the Steeler fan base hates him. I'm sometimes right in the middle of them when I visit my mom and the disdain for him is unbelievable and then when I tell people I really like him they lose it even more.

It's just inherently human nature to think the other guy has the better deal.

Complete nonsense.

But even if I indulge your viewpoint, the Steelers are better as they have found a way to consistently compete in a far less dysfunctional division than the NFC East. Outside of punching bag Cleveland and an outlier year from the Ravens, that is one of the toughest divisions in football and they are always in the middle of it, or winning it.

Meanwhile, the East continues to be psychotic from year to year and we usually end up playing just as up and down as the other three teams, and operate in the same frenetic knee jerk fashion as our divisional rivals in terms of talent acquisition/philosophy.

Football is a team sport. No QB has ever won a championship without a quality supporting cast. This is the advantage Ben has had over Tony, not his skill set.
