Are the players potentially showing their disgust with the ridiculous contract paid Dak?

Are the players potentially showing their disgust with the ridiculous contract paid Dak and letting Jerry know by playing to a much different level for Rush? I don't know that answer but it bears some consideration. Dak "says" all the right stuff and then basically takes the money with no regard for team building. For the short term, I'd rather see Rush and his NFL second-best quick release (2.3 seconds) than Dak taking a week to read defenses and holding the ball until sundown. Getting rid of it makes up for a lot of deficiency in the OL and at WR. Rush is not the "answer." But, he's more the answer than Dak who has this team in contract purgatory.

Perhaps the rest of the team (the little people), agree?
it is possible, however there are other reasons they might play harder for rush, or not as hard for dak.

This has to be one of the most laughable threads ever started. The things that rattle around in some people's brain is mind blowing. And to think, some actually agree with it.

The last year of Romo’s tenure is an exception which proves the general rule. And in that same year dumb and dumber made the dumb QB decision since they decided to “ride a win streak” instead of play the better player.
Sure.

What’s never occurred year 9 of Dak is accountability competition. Jerry just went ahead and rewarded him without really any results .

Like Romo around yr 5 someone in the FO needed to step up challenge Jerry about bringing in real meaningful competition for the job . Dak was a 4th rounder wasn’t brought in as the savior high pick . No one brought in to challenge Romo either . Bad back drove him out . Can Dak even physically finish this contract coming up .

Look, I think Dak is an overall better QB than Rush. No argument here. But by how much? When was the last time either QB beat the Eagles when they were a clearly better team?

It also does look like the team is playing harder. Clearly looks like that. But I question the reason. I'm not so sure it's because of Rush.

I like that Rush is having success it means the cowboys are having it

The last 2 weeks consisted of the 27 th and 30 th ranked pass defenses so that may have some to do with it

If the cowboys go into Philly and win there’s something to this and hopefully they can carry the momentum into next year

We're fortunate, with a TON of injuries, to even be competitive.

The Daksters will have to disagree! He’s amazing and worth every penny!

I would be more upset with the front office for not recognizing they are signing a dude who will never live up to his contract. Players in general like to see their teammates score big deals. A lot, tough, will depend on whether or not the teammate is a brown nose or one of the fellas.

I think it’s a different group of players, they seem to gel better. Maybe this game is different different scheme. They’re playing with heart. And had nothing to do with the quarterback. In my opinion. I don’t like either quarterback we have under center.

Athletes are keenly aware of who is & isn't pulling their weight.

They are human so whether intentional or not, it's only natural to put in less effort if you believe your efforts are in vain.

For those of you suggesting that just because they are "professionals" they always conduct themselves with the highest integrity, you really need to read \ watch some stories about what has gone on behind the scenes with many teams.
I’m sure every player has an opinion on how hard teammate are working. That’s natural. Professionals don’t associate effort with compensation. It’s not as if it’s ok not to make maximum effort if your not the highest paid.
