this is true but there are a handful of options that most likely could..I'm not a Dak homer, but the whole "anybody can do what he does" thing that people vomit is a joke.

Im taking Dalton in a heartbeat if given the choice.
I can go along with that. I think that Dak is probably better than the Backup QBs we have here. That's why you play him until you get someone better. Since we're don't have a #1 pick in next years draft, he'll be here in 2019 most likely. I would rather pay a proven clutch QB like foles over Dak if it is contract time and Dak hasn't done anything to prove himself during these playoffs.I'm not a Dak homer, but the whole "anybody can do what he does" thing that people vomit is a joke.
Money and agents can and will bring out the worst in a person. We see it as an exciting sport. Underneath it all....Its a business...Pay the man.
DAK knows how this works.
Money has to go to others if he wants to win.
It will be fine.
This guy is fiercely loyal to this team..
it will be fine.
At least Dalton throws to Dalton. Single coverage on Amari means nothing to Dak. I like Dak and I pull for him...but he has to do better or no dinero.I guess this sort of underscores my point. Dak is maligned, and you'd 'take Dalton in a heartbeat' yet their ypg are identical this year, while Dak's completion pct and qbr are significantly higher. In fact, two of Daks three seasons would be be career best completion pct's for Dalton. Not to mention Andy has had the luxury of throwing to AJ Green his entire career. Dalton also has a season with only 5 less picks than Daks thrown in his career lol
Dak has the spirit of a winner, he is a winner and highly competitive; that’s what makes him good. He also has a lot of work to do and doesn’t have the ability to do a lot of things right now, it’s what makes him a mediocre QB. Troy pointed it out yesterday.

Dont you just hate sober people on a holiday. You know I meant Green...lol. If Dak could throw to himself it would a check down or overthrow.Dalton can throw to himself?! Wow, I wonder why the Bengals don't incorporate that into their game plan?

I know my friend. Merry Christmas to you and yours..I was just having a little fun with ya. Lol drink on buddy, lord knows after 3 Christmas visits with my 3 kids I am
That’s why we won so many games with a thousand yard back in 2015 right? Because any QB can do what dak does, including being 2nd in the league in wins since he’s become a pro right?

Thats who I compare him to. Look at Tannehill's numbers over the years and theyre damn near similar to Daks.I don’t watch much of Tannehill but maybe him?
Great athlete, can extend plays with his legs but pedestrian as a passer.
Excellent analysismost QBs ranked 15-32 yes..it happens the elite to high 2nd tier guys arent the norm..being Average can be won with, I get the why some just hammer the hate on Dak but in reality, hes not bad..the issue is how much will Jerry pay him..if he gets paid under 25 20-25 going rate for starter with winning records, and front loaded incentives etc we wont be in cap hell, wi can live with that..If Jerry goes full ******, pays him 27-30 mil we are in trouble..big trouble because we need more money to help Dak succeed with skill players, you cant blow the cap on guy who only deserves less..thats the holdout for me, lets see how JJ and the FO sees him money wise..Im betting the Vikings are having some regrets in not keeping their old average QB at 18mil and instead of paying Cousins to not do any better, actually in some ways worse..i dont want that regret.. Alex smith type contract or less is Daks wheel house and fair.
If you look at QBR this year Dak is 21st, so yes there are a lot of mediocre QBs with comparable numbers to Dak. His QBR numbers were of course better than the last two years, but there are some numbers that have been consistent since his rookie year.i understand stats aren’t everything, and my eye test tells me that Dak isn’t a top ten guy, but as much as his stats (wins, tds, completion pct, qbr etc) get discounted when compared to the accepted franchise guys can any of the lower tier guys compare? Is there a bad qb thst has good numbers to point to?
I’m just curious. Because I’m starting to believe that despite his warts, Dak is a uniquely valuable guy.
