Are we done with the receiver/TE position?

It won’t
I doubt it’ll be an OL, and I don’t really see a good candidate at DT at pick 26, so you’re likely right that it won’t be a “Big ugly”.

I could see WR or more likely TE. If Kincaid is there, I hope they just pull the trigger and get the next Jay Novacek.

I could also see a DE/edge player if someone like Nolan Smith falls a little, and of course there is a chance the pick could still be Bijan or Gibbs.

But at least we’re able to start zeroing in some on the position they might choose.

You have weak WR draft.
You have a strong TE draft.
You have a strong RB draft.
You have a strong CB draft.
You should always draft the strength of the draft because next season that position may be weak when you really need a player you could've gotten a year before.

Cowboys will draft a TE, CB and RB in the first 4 rounds.

I think it will depend on the draft. If we take a TE and WR in the draft we’re probably done. Otherwise, may see a 1 year deal for a vet TE or WR down the line.

Does anyone know?

Cooks is basically the same level player as Gallup, but neither are CD. Whether Schultz is gone or not, are we gonna add more pieces or not?
Gallup wasn’t the same player after returning from injury and Cooks could overtake him for number two if he doesn’t return to form. Our interest in OBJ is likely done, but we still have the draft and still could take a receiver. Can’t imagine anyone being real high on Jalen Tolbert after his rookie year.

1st round - DT/OL
2nd round - OL/DT opposite of the first round
3rd - CB/WR/RB best avail
4th - same as 3rd
5th - same as 3rd

TE would a be a luxury pick with #26. I don't have a problem with it if the guy they select is the BPA but if there is a higher rated Offensive Lineman, I am 100% behind them taking the best Guard in the draft or any other Lineman, Defense or Offense. That's where the possibility for a championship is built. We were hurting for a #2 WR but that is fixed so it is not a high priority. They should be able to draft the BPA at #26 now and then try to upgrade some guys.

Receiving tight end maybe, if the right guy is there.

For sure a big receiver who can block in round 6 or 7. Dallas likes WRs who can block, and that's one area where we've taken a half step back this offseason.

I’d prefer to go exclusively OL/DL in the draft at this point
I'd like to upgrade the QB but that option looks highly unlikely in this draft. I am always for trenches. I believe the FO point of view however is a last ditch effort to elevate average QB play by upgrading the skill positions.

That’s a ridiculous comment. Gallup is not even close to Cook. You guys are going to be amazed.

Don't think TE is done and I still think Booger has a thing for Pitts, if he can give up the draft capital.

I would REALLY like that, but I don't think Atlanta gives him up that easily unless you give them give two hotels and a pair of houses.
