I told you, you CAN call me one if you want. I honestly don't care if you believe I have a source or not. I don't need to defend myself after all my time here.

I just don't want any more of this like has happened in the past with some posters we've lost due to abuse by others. It isn't worth it to me to lose a great poster who brings legitimate inside stuff.

Bash me all you want. Call me a liar if you wish. Others have too. I don't care, because I know what the truth is, and I know what petty jealousy is. Life isn't a pissing match for me. I have no need or desire to prove I can pee farther than you. You win the pissing match if you choose to call me a liar.

I care about debating football. On that stage any are welcome to take a shot.
How are we supposed to know what is legit inside stuff and what is just a bunch of bull?

That's a fair question. A good rule of thumb is to watch the old guard posters here.

If you see the old guard around here showing appreciation...chances are we know and respect the source.

If you see them expressing doubts...chances are it is a source not yet verified. We've had some come in and people had doubts, then the info panned out. Imediately appreciation is shown for the tip.

The posters know everything posted will be taken with a grain of salt. I'm not saying it should be accepted as gospel truth. I'm just saying that making it too personal is a bad habit.

Doubt is fine. Making it personal is not.

Where is good old Barry at now days? Is he coaching somewhere? I mean, if he is this great coaching legend, a players coach, a SuperBowl winner...someone that should be embraced by the football Gods...he should be coaching somewhere, right?

What is he up to? Is he back in the mountains brewing up some of that bootleg whiskey?

Barry is retired and living in Norman, OK. He's closing in on 70, so his coaching days are over--he has plenty of money. He does some commentary on college football, in fact, he and Jimmy Johnson were in the studio together during the bowls which was great to see. He is indeed a living legend and bigger than life.

I approve of this message. And I'm not reading all the arguments either. ;)

I think Jeff Garcia would be some help of assistance or David Carr.
Jeff led a team to the playoffs in 2006 and resurrected them from the grave.

He can pretty much look for a team who will start him.

Don't ya think?

If I were the Eagles I'd explore what I could get for McNabb in the Draft and consider hanging on to Garcia who ran Reid's WCO better. Then draft a young QB to groom.

Not saying I would do it, but I'd look at the options.

Did Garcia really run the offense better or did the team just start playing better as a whole? I think it was the more of the latter. Garcia did play well and there wasn't the expected drop off after McNabb's injury, but he didn't outplay McNabb. Other than that, I agree with the rest of your points.

Philly is a product of its system. McNabb will never win a Super Bowl. He will always make that one mistake! Feeley came is in '02 and went like 5-1. Look at the Philly receivers. There are no GREAT future HOFers. But they put up the stats. That is a result of a great system that McNabb has been the beneficiery of his whole career!

They started winning games they had been losing.

I think McNabb is the better QB of the two, but I can't deny that they played better under Garcia. Granted it was a more basic game plan with him in the driver's seat. Winning is still winning.
