Haven't heard anything yet on wr or OL.I thought Adams was strictly OC . I never saw a release stating he was OL coach . And WR coach never announced either .
Crazy talk.Bring in Will Hernandez and let him start at RG.
Hoffman needs a new deal after this year. Hernandez is a much better pass blockerCrazy talk.
Brock Hoffman > Will Hernandez
Hernandez has been starting his whole career. Hoffman barely started halfway through this season. Hoffman is a much better run blocker. He only is going to get better, plus he is younger. Look at their physique. Who shows he works out harder, has more fire on the field and is in better shape? Easily...Hoffman.Hoffman needs a new deal after this year. Not me .. Hoffman is an emergency In an injury pinch band-aid only, imoBrock Hoffman
All in.Let’s not get cheap Jerry go get a OL coach hired a good one
All in.
I agree. And Beebe can be switched to guard if needed, and Richards looked very solid there in the preseason. Other than an ERFA tender for Hoffman and bringing in UDFAs, I'd rather not put any more money into the interior line spots this year when we have so much other we have to address. I could see Edoga being brought back for cheap, though, because of his ability to back up both guard and tackle. You have Hoffman & Bass so you don’t have to go fishing for a G in 2025 with so many other holes

I also think among Richards, Guyton, Tyler (if needed) and Steele, we can figure out the tackle spots for this year and see if that is something we have to address next year. I could live with adding Hernandez to the mix for cheap (like Edoga) and I'd love for Tyron to return to us for cheap to finish out his career (I'd prefer him as a backup tackle to Edoga, but I don't think he'll be cheap enough). But overall, I want us to sink our draft and free agent efforts and dollars into other positions where we clearly need help.
Anyone know much about Christopher Strausser? I know he was fired by the Texans after this season, but he was OL coach in Indianapolis when Adams was hired as an assistant OL coach. He also was OL coach at Boise State when Adams was a graduate assistant there. I don't know if he was a casualty in Bob Slowik being fired, but his offensive line did give up 52 sacks last year.Kyle Flood UT OL coach 53 they move the ball up and down the field have success with some of the runners & passing .
Marc Columbo 46 former Cowboy former NFL line coach .
Jerry who you hiring candidates are out there .
Yeah, I tend to forget about Thomas because we haven't seen him play. Hope he turns out to be a good one. I'd prefer we use the comps on defense. Strengthen that unit as much as possible, although I wouldn't mind us drafting two RBs, including one in the later rounds, and a QB ... depending on what we do in free agency. We have 10 picks, and I hope we use seven of them on defense. On offense, I'd prefer we get a vet RB and vet WR and then spend at least one pick on an RB and QB (but again, I'd be good with adding two rookie RBs along with a vet).Edoga is injury prone rather see him elsewhere . Thomas was a late round tackle last season . He’s depth and with 4 comp picks I’m not against another linemen drafted but not spend free agent $$

Just found this on him:
Slowik and Strausser have over a decade of coaching experience in the NFL. The two are likely to find more work in the league, especially considering the Texans' success despite prolonged injuries on offense.
Both coaches helped develop second-overall pick C.J. Stroud and played a part in his Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign in 2023. Houston finished that season with a top-12 offense thanks to a high-powered air attack.

Also found this, Strausser was a disciple of the late Howard Mudd, the legendary Colts' offensive line coach through the 2000s.
Strausser was one of the first coaches former head coach Frank Reich brought onto his staff with the Colts. Strausser got to work right away and helped coach the Colts' offensive line into one of the best in the NFL from 2019-2020.
However, the offensive line started to regress in 2021 after the retirement of left tackle Anthony Castonzo. The Colts signed Eric Fisher before the 2021 season, but he could never regain his Pro Bowl form after tearing his Achilles the year prior. Other positions began to regress that year as well.
Everything came to a head in 2022 as the offensive line performed its worse under Strausser. The Colts allowed 60 sacks last season, the second worst in the NFL behind only the Denver Broncos. While the line play improved towards the end of the season, it was nowhere near the standard the Colts were used to.

Trust me, Hoffman will be cheap. He is a replacement level player.I like Hoffman, but you have him one more year before you pay him.
Similar run blockers, but Hernandez is a better pass protector.
Hoffman also gives you depth at LG, C and RG
