I'm not sure he was McCarthy's guy. When No-Schott was brought in as offensive coordinator, Solari followed him from Seattle, where No-Schott had been the offensive coordinator. So it seems like we brought in No-Schott essentially to coordinate the running game and Solari to implement the line scheme for the running game. Maybe Solari wasn't No-Schott's guy, but it certainly seems like it. Solari also had ties to McCarthy, but not as recent (2015 assistant OL coach with Packers; OL coach for the Chiefs in the late 1990s while McCarthy was QB coach for two years).
