ARTICLE: Carter happy to be back in pads

Yes...and he finally got rid of that pesky Dat Nguyen. Did you notice how Nguyen was out for BOTH Giants games?

Coincidence?

I think not.

Flozell Adams - you're on notice.

Roy Williams was here. He's next.

But Coach Parcells screwed up. He resigned Andre Gurode. Lucky fellow sneaked in on him.

Ya know, I actually think that meant something to Jerry. Maybe he saw it as an omen or something.

There was also the paper that Carter wrote in school where his goals were to play baseball for the Cubs and football for the Cowboys. I think Jerry believes in destiny.

I can picture Jones with a Magic 8-Ball back in those days and it lead his decisions.

Not Roy!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure Parcells wouldn't cut Adam Archuletta, if he played for us.

You realize that's just Quincy talking about himself in the third person - not someone's actual observation.....

:D

Yeah...Quincy still thinks he can play so Discussion is over...Wrong!

There is always a "but" with this person. "Yes, I messed up, but others have too." What on earth is that? Excuses and delusion as he has always done.

Fine. No cocaine. He failed a drug test and admits it. Fine, he smoked weed. No difference. He still screwed us and himself.

So tell the truth, Quincy. Here is your chance. Or is it more comforting to just say it was all unfair and untrue without naming specifics. There is nothing to jeopardize. Your bridges in Dallas are burned, spill it.

And? The point is what, "At least I wasn't Michael Irvin?"

Smoke away, Quincy.

Not really. Leon Lett was a monster when he was smoking pot. Ricky Williams looked pretty good also. It doesn't hurt the NBA players that do it regularly.

He's still got that third person thing going on. Sad.

Pathetic. Do you always have to be negative? Did Quincy kill your dog or what? He's not on this team, so why so much venom?

Did I just wake up in 2003? Its dejavu all over again. Bottom line is talent wins in the NFL over all.

Ricky Williams a pot head extra ordinare skips out on his teamates right before training camp and guess what gets another chance. Comes back to the NFL and flunks a drug test again. Guess what...he will get another chance after his one year suspension.

Talent reigns supreme in the NFL. If QC had all this talent someone would have given him a shot already.

If QC does something great in the CFL and NFL teams determine they were wrong about him and his talent is worth taking a chance on then someone team will do it.

I think I can play QB in the NFL, because, let's face it, I can throw one hell of a bomb when there's noone breathing down my neck. Nuff said.

Back in the day, I used to be able to throw a pigskin a quarter mile.

How much you wanna make a bet I could throw this football over them mountains?

Let it go people....he's no longer a Cowboy....and he hasn't been for a couple of freakin' years.

Wish him well for his future for crying out loud. What is he? Your mortal enemy?

Bashers..back off. Supporters...back off.

Holy cow. Carter still affects people. Geez!

Why does he get so much love and adoration? He was a slightly below average QB on his best day.

I don't see many "Oh, good luck, Clint Stoerner threads."

Why would you wish good luck on a former player that let the team down because he couldn't get his personal addictions under control?

Would you want someone with that lack of mental fortitude as your QB? Obviously not, because once you get past the media fluff, you find the real QC story. A guy who was terribly insecure and immature. A guy, who from many accounts, was a real jerk to members of the media that criticized him and who threw his teammates under the bus.

I used to have to qualify anything I said on the guy because if you knocked him, you'd immediately get subtle jabs accusing racism and comments about how hard he worked and how he was a good guy in the community.

Light has finally been shed on the guy and people still have their heads stuck in the sand. He was an awful QB and a terrible teammate and Dallas is much better off with him gone.

Look who I quote this from, that's what this is^

True but I will say you don't see many QB's with drug issues staying around long. That position holds too much responsibilty and too much of a leadership role for teams to take chances with.

Well that was the past... I think Carter will bounce back and actually be successful...

You post the pic to make yourself feel better about another man's downfall.. but guess what?

:starspin

and

NUFF SAID...:hammer:

Good Post! The really sad thing is he's better than Joey Harrington, David Carr, Michael Vick,Rex Grossman and Patrick Ramsey, all who were first rounders, yet people complain that we drafted him too high. Carter could start for at least a dozen teams in the NFL, including the Cowboys and Jets.

I think he fixed that problem in 03, do not remember seeing to many flutters that year, but hey any reason to bash. Eli throws more flutters than anybody but he has pedigree:rolleyes:

LOL!!!!!

Woody, you know I have mad love for you. Nothing but respect but this provided a picture in my minds eye that just made me bust up.

I can only picture a Zoot Suite type hate. Maybe purple with leopard spot head band and some huge red feather protruding out the back with gold embroidered letters on it spelling MOD.

LOL...... I wished I had a picture of it I could post. :lmao2:

Any way, it just struck me funny. Sorry bout that.
I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a hat like that... Brain, maybe...but not me. Somebody has to adhere to some fashion standards on the mod team. :)

That said.

This thread is obviously on it's way to the toilet zone as sure as my name is Dub-G. Cuz obviously, some folks STILL can't discuss QC without tossing insults and racial comments.

News flash he is not even going to be the starter in the CFL and not assured he will even get the backup job as there are 5 others competing for the job. Yet he could start in the NFL? What a joke!!!

That's the equivalent of "I know you are but what am I".

Since he's nothing more than a backup in the CFL is the next stop the Arena League.

It's amazing how THE MAN only has issues with the horrible QB's.

No doubt. I bet you though if Brady, Manning, Vick, or someone of that nature failed a drug test due to just smoking pot you can bet your bottom dollar that if they were to be released some other team would take a chance on them no matter what.

The fact is QC is a so so talent and therefore because of the drugs no team is really interested in taking a chance on him.

It all about the talent and risk to reward ratio.
