New jobs will emerge that we can’t even imagine. 25 years ago, the idea of being a YouTuber or internet marketer were inconceivable. If we can eliminate jobs no one wants, like garbage collection, maybe we can focus on more important things as a collective.Sam Altman, head of OpenAI (creators of ChatGPT and other AI systems) recently posted these words:
"My work at OpenAI reminds me every day about the magnitude of the socioeconomic change that is coming sooner than most people believe. Software than can think and learn will do more and more of the work that people do now. Even more power will shift from labor to capital. If public policy doesn't adapt accordingly, most people will end up worse off then they are today."
Yes I've heard numerous people say the same. Problem is that AI is going to be better at most everything.New jobs will emerge that we can’t even imagine. 25 years ago, the idea of being a YouTuber or internet marketer were inconceivable. Found this tweet to be interesting:Yes I've heard numerous people say the same. Problem is that AI is going to be better at most everything.
Starting this year AI is a real threat to encroach on the work of software developers, web designers, game creators, database developers, tax preparers, call center operators, copywriters, authors, marketing strategists, legal assistants. It's altogether possible self-driving vehicles could displace uber and taxi drivers, and truckers.
Consider this: Even those who design AI systems will in some cases be replaced by AI that can self-train.
Meanwhile...robotics. Amazon warehouses, auto manufacturing is becoming ever more automated. Fast food chefs are getting competition.
AI is going to create the biggest upheaval in human history. A war or famine or recession ends. AI is here to stay and it's going to get so incredibly smart at everything.
It will be awesome. It will be amazing. It will be magical. It could also be...
You have any links to prove that? Doesn’t sound right.AI has only been engaged in software development for a short time.
Already half (HALF!) of all code on GitHub (the world's biggest Internet hosting service for software development) was created by AI.
AI doesn't have typos. AI doesn't get sick. AI doesn't go on strike. AI doesn't have personality conflict with co-workers. AI isn't limited to 40 hours a week. AI is getting smarter by the week.
I strongly agree that it doesn't sound plausible! Can't remember where I came across that. You have any links to prove that? Doesn’t sound right.
