well in the original series i'm not sure there was any cylon 'tang. we had a robotic dog and buck rogers has a twiggy, but i don't recall any cylon females running around till it was redone.

the updated series is far and away a better setup / scenario and the acting has been a lot better than the original.

but overall i now refuse to watch it cause eduncan ruins everything that has potential with his eyore crap.

we're a long way from everyone agreeing. superpunk and i "disagree" on a regular basis but we don't get into the "gee, i'm going to say something very stupid just to get a reaction" paties.

eduncan and his many id's do. eduncan will say stanback isn't a WR but a QB. the entire free world puts him at a WR and he wants to be a problem child, so he is out of boredom or the like, being a problem. intentionally.

to me that should be stopped, not warn the people who get tired of it and call him out in variou ways. but then that does run the risk of over-mod and this isn't extreme skins so you can't really do that w/o setting a bad precidence.

oh well. not an easy problem to deal with but if you're going to stand up and be stupid you can't be amazed when people go "HEY STUPID!".

The first series had a pair of Cylon men tracking down Galactica after it (finally) reached Earth, but I also don't recall seeing any Cylon women either.

The current series is one of the best dramas on television, Sci-Fi or otherwise. That's not me just saying that either. Critics have given it rave reviews since day one.

It's a great show and Eduncan's avatar can't spoil it for me. That pic of Eisen though...

We didnt lose Flo last year and the season went in the tank? the reason????

I wouldn't classify last season as going in the tank. What did happen is that we finished the season 1-3 giving up 142 points for an avg of 35.5 points per game along the way, because we didn't have a consistent pass rush and our coverage blew chunks. Totally different circumstance. However, we did make the playoffs, unlike the previous year, and should have won had it not been for a fantom fumble by Glenn and then a botched FG attempt in the 4th Qtr.

The New Galactica series is much much better then the original in many aspects- but it is NOT the greatest sci fi series of all time as some critics have claimed. Sadly it seems to be heading more towards melodrama and soap opera.
