Also, big guys who can rush the passer are coveted in the draft. I would expect him to be taken in the top 10.

If you want a monster on the interior line that forces double teams than A'Shawn Robinson is your guy. No one in the college ranks could consistently contain Robinson in the trenches one on one. Also Robinson has really dedicated himself to Saban's 4th quarter program going into his junior year and has lost some of his bad weight inthe process. I expect Robinson to have a monster game against Clemson Monday night and to put on a show during the NFL combine.... Top 5 pick and "should" be the first DL taken in this draft if GMs have done their homework

Well Bosa will probably go before him but I agree with you about Robinson. He would help every level of our D. He would free up Crawford to do what he is supposed to do. The extra attention on Robinson would free up LB's to roam Freely and by solving the weak link in the D-line with a guy that can help provide extra pass rush the secondary would be improved as well.

That is exactly what I want with our top pick. I'd rather miss out on the QB of the future than the dominating DT of now.

I'd have no problem with getting Bosa, but I really feel like we have our future on the outside in Lawrence and Gregory (they just need seasoning and some veteran help). That missing interior piece is what I really want.

It will be interesting to see how the draft falls. The only thing I don't want Dallas to do is reach for a QB. If a QB is the best player there, then take him. But if a player like Robinson is higher-rated, then please don't pass on him for a QB.

Not only help Crawford but with our speed rushers " D Law and Gregory" onthe ends. Imagine a good space eater inthe middle with Robinson creating one on one matchups for our Defensive ends..

I actually would not mind a trade down scenario where we pick Robinson, and then trade back into the late first for Carson Wentz (assuming he has a really good senior bowl week).

What's it going to be then, eh?

By the time the draft rolls around, I predict this trading up into the late first for Wentz won't be realistic anymore.

Robinson, Billings, Rankins, Reed, Johnson......for all that's good and decent in the world get one somewhere in this draft and end the Golden cock era once and for all!

certainly possible, but I think what will work against him is his 22 or so career starts. Not a huge sample size, which is scary considering he was division 1 AA

Not sure getting one ends the Golden Cock era, but it does push him into a backup role, where he belongs, unless we take two DTs able to play the 1-tech ... which could happen with nine picks, but isn't likely.

Think he'll slide back into the second or go higher in the first?

even if he was a second round prospect, it may be worth trading up from #35 to get get him in the first just so we control his rights for another year.

Those huge talented potential pass rushers don't last long on draft day. If he impresses during the pre-draft process, he'll go no later than 10-15. Maybe higher. At one point before the combine, Dontari Poe was viewed as a 2nd round project. He ultimately went like 10 or so to KC.

Saw a mock that had him going to Dallas at #4 today. I laughed.

I didn't laugh but the idea elicited a slight chortle.

This guy is not a top-five player; if Dallas drops down to 10 or 11 he would be a wise choice. Of course so would a safety, LB, WR, and RB.

Any of you Dallas area guys, somehow, some way I would like to get Broadus's take definitively on what Marrinelli would look for / take in a 1-tech. (Draft show starts next week).
Has he or anyone heard that the FO finally realizes that they need someone in the middle next to Crawford (Who by the way had surgery today). Your new 45 million dollar player got hurt because no need to double team the 1-tech.
Surely they HAVE to finally see that ! Or will they keep their heads buried in the sand (Or up their okolies) ......
That will allow us poor battered DT dreamers an idea of who or what to look at !

If he passes Nkemdiche as the top DT prospect, he'll go in the top 10.
