So, I've been doing some research on Jeanty, who I want us to take. I've compared Ashton Jeanty to Emmitt Smith in terms of styles and measurables. The crazy thing is? It's crazy similar. It's remarkable! Not saying they're the exact same, but the similarities that I can see are remarkable. If he's available when we are picking, it's almost a no brainer to me.

Jeanty is much, Much faster than Emmitt was
of course, many were

But Emmitt’s vision, balance, and durabilty were so HOF level it made his 40 time irrelevant

Position is too deep with quality instant starter type backs in the 2nd/3rd round. Shelf life for the position is too short to consider before the 20th-25th pick in today’s NFL!

I can't say I would complain if they picked Jeanty but let's be honest, behind the Cowboys offensive line it would be a wasted pick. Emmitt ran behind the best offensive line n Cowboys history. Jeanty would be running behind the worst.

I think they need to fix the offensive and defensive lines. But if they got a shot at a potential franchise QB, I would be okay with taking him too.

This is a 3 year rebuild. It is not happening in 1 draft.
