LOL....The defense was collapsing on Zeke on every snap. Why do you think all those misdirections were working so well?

He was the most impactful player on the field.
I agree, he was extremely impactful on the bench. The sight of him and thought of him coming into the game had the Lions D terrified.

Why can't we acknowledge Dak's contribution to the turnaround without minimizing Zeke's?

My sense is the OP isn't making a point so much as trying to be divisive.
People act like Zeke is the reason we're so successful. I do agree Zeke's been impeccable , but without Prescott's contributions, we are 9-6 fighting for a playoff spot.

Say what you want, your historic distaste for Romo is colouring your clearly exaggerated view.

Dak's been a very important contributor to 13-2. So have a number of others.
Where was this record last year?

Dak's been great. I don't think he's been 4 wins better than Romo would have been but I recognize you've had some strong views about Romo for a long time now. I'd prefer that you not assert Dak's success as vindication of those views but whatever. Let's focus on what we can agree upon: Dak's been great.

He had approximately 20 yards on 11 carries. I like Zeke as much as the next guy, but he is often pointed to as the main reason this offense is insanely good. He absolutely contributes to the offense being good, but it is telling that we can put up 42 points even though he only accounted for ONE long run and many 1 and 2 yard runs. He also only had 12 carries in our biggest offensive performance to date.

This isn't meant to minimize his efforts. Again, he is AWESOME. But, the other guys deserve a LOT if not more credit.
Him being on the field opens everything up.

Why can't cowboy fans just appreciate a season of excellence? Why must the petty "my favorite player deserves more credit than yours" fight be a thing? We have the best QB situation in the league, a young phenom of a RB, the best o line in recent history, and a defense that Continues to look better and better.

Cut the agenda bullsh*t and appreciate the TEAM that has secured a #1 seed....They're pretty hard to get.

ONE long run........OBJ had ONE long run and THAT'S what beat Dallas. Again.

EZEE gives the offense a chance to break ONE long run with every hand off.

I see no point.
McFadden had bunch of nice. Runs later on. Zeke woulda broke couple if they kept him In. Would have had over 100

Teams have been honed in on Zeke since Minnesota. Factor in the absence of Swain, and the consistent five yard runs have all but evaporated. It's feast or famine. Dak struggled for about two weeks, but had found his stride since. That's a major test he passed.

Bottom line is, 4-12, in comes Dak, now 13-2. Now if you believe Zeke is the sole reason for the turn around, then let's put Sanchez behind center all these games. The world will soon realize how special Dak is.

He also didn't play much of second half, so he wasn't in the game and given the chance to be rewarded for pounding the rock and softening the defence so in the 4th those 1-2 yard runs become 5-10 or longer...

Would you please stop trying to downplay everyone else just to puff up Dak more.

Gabe is not a Cowboys fan ....... he just followed Dak here and admits that he hated the Cowboys.

The long ones count Just like the one yarders, last I checked.
You checked wrong. Again. That's comparing McFadden to EZEE in the effect of the run game. Huge difference.

The offense runs through Zeke, plain and simple. Other teams #1 priority is to stop him and that allows Dak to do his thing. There is a significant difference between DMC and Zeke and in no way does Dak lead us to 13-2 without Elliot.

This is a complimentary offense this year, everyone feeding off each other. But, to sit here and say that Dak is the difference maker and not Zeke is laughable. They both are having great seasons but defenses are highly concerned with corralling Elliot, even then, he breaks off long runs every few weeks.

I don't see the need for the OP to keep posting threads like these, we all know that he wants Dak to be his BFF but it isn't hard to give props to the team without knocking on someone else.

So you think we'd be 9-6 without Prescott, which would essentially mean Zeke gives us a 5 game swing over last year since he'd be the only actual new piece to the offensive equation this year if we take Dak out (and assuming TR still got hurt). That kind of undermines your own argument a bit since one non QB player accounting for a 5 game swing is a pretty big deal. My objective question to you in response to this, is what do you think our record would be right now with Prescott at QB but without Zeke at RB? Legitimately curious.

Disclaimer - I'm a fan of both players and am absolutely elated at what both have accomplished for us this year.

I understand where you're coming from, but sometimes you have games like that. He's been more than a consistent contributor throughout the year so obviously this isn't a trend.

This is what Barry Sanders used to do, though. Not to diminish his talents but he would also have like 12 carries for 45 yards and then break off a 70 yard run to make his stats look better than they actually were.

He forces defense to focus on him that in itself opens up so much more. And even with a stacked box once he gets past LB's he is off to the races. I do agree others deserve credit for Det game because they were able to take advantage of it.
