Seems that it is very disputable that they used buzzers. They definitely cheated in other ways and were well deserving of the consequences.

What do you mean, "now what?" How do you know the idea came from the Yankees?

you only hope that it is so the bullseye moves off astros.
    It’s not.
    It won’t.

    I get it.
It sucks for Houston fans... and that... I am sorry (for you/y’all)

Naive has nothing to do with what they did specifically.
Wearing a device... I mean really, you should be embarassed for them because clearly they aren’t for themselves.

Nah.... you can’t catch them now with the buzzer but he definitely did not want anyone to see what was under his shirt.

ok I will explain it because you act like you don’t know difference.

Steroids - still require “guessing correctly” and hand eye coordination.

Astros-Tech - signal relay while you are in batters box -
no more guessing’. You know what’s coming 2-3 seconds before it comes. (Off speed pitch, get ready, wind it up, real, real good = Altuve) You know. You adjust BEFORE pitch is thrown.

if you ask hitters if it helps they will tell it does. Hands down.

Again. I get it. You want to rope yankees into this and you cannot legitimately do do.
    It hurts.

So that we are clear in terms of why I ask, how do you know, here is why. Beltran has been in the league for 20 years. He has played for like 9 different teams and lets all remember that when you suggest that he learned this from the Yankees, lets remember that he was with Houston long before he ever went to the Yankees. He could have, and probably did, learn this long before he ever went to the Yankees but the bottom line is we don't know. Betran in NY, was a disaster both times.

In his first stint, he hit .233 with 15 dingers and .276 with 19 homers. You would think that if he were stealing signs, he would have done a lot better when with the Yanks, at the time. The Yankees themselves were 20th in the league in hitting in 2014 and 2nd in the league in 2015 so I'm not sure that we can draw any conclusion on where Beltran learned how to steal signs the way the Astros did. He might have, I don't know but if he did, you would have thought that he, himself would have enjoyed a much better season in 2014 and that the Yankees would have been much better as well. In 2015, the Yankees were much better but Beltran himself was not much better. Still a down year and in a park that he should have lit up.

To me it's really hard to point to the Yankees and suggest that it was the Yankees who started this. Now, could they have been doing it? Yes, that's possible but there is no conclusive evidence to suggest this IMO. That is, unless somebody has provided proof that they were stealing signs as well.

Wowwwwwwww... whoaaaahhhh.... you just made me think of the “when” and “why”?
Remember his called 3rd strike looking while playing for the mets?

If I had to guess... that’s when it started this in his mind. He was caught looking? He guessed wrong and it caused him to freeze. That’s why he created this cheat.

    Makes perfect sense.
Oh, my.... then he goes back to the Mets as manager. Holy moly.

Remember Severino and “tipping pitches” issues.

    Nope.
    He wasn’t.

It was astros tipping pitches to themselves.

I wasn’t for it initially but 2017 and 2018 WS titles need to be vacated.

I find the mass hysteria from this rather amusing.

The Judge has given his verdict!

    Astros didn’t earn it.

Correa’s clap back at Bellinger was laughably pathetic.

These guys (Astro players) should just leave well enough alone and shut their mouths. They are absolute morons and disgraces.

Correa was basically saying “Bellinger doesn’t know what he’s talking about...we definitely stopped cheating in 2017, so he should get his facts straight!”

    Way to save face.

Here’s the thing... this ain’t over.

When they release the punishment for Boston Red Sox (Homeland: “Deception Indicated”) World Series theft.... these two teams will be sandwiched into biggest scandal since 1919 Black Sox.

it’s getting pretty sketchy up there in New England.

    Spygate
    DeflateGate
    Spygate 3 belongs to RedSox

then... Houston we have a problem

Spygate 2 (analog version) belongs to Astros (banging cans, etc)
Spygate 4 (digital version (and relay)) belongs to astros (buzzer from mobile device or remote control)?

What hurts is watching you act like a complete dud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, dude, let it go. Your childish rants are hilarious, but they really make you look pathetic.

Steroids turn pop flies into HR's. Yup, no difference.

Hitting batters is a 2 way street and the Astros pitching staff can bring the heat just as well.

Yea, but being hit by 29 teams as opposed to other teams being hit by 1 will take a far bigger toll on the Astros.

But personally, I think this is such a dumb practice and needs to go away.

You only face 1 team a day, again it is 2 way street and no batter wants to be head hunted and I'm sure umpires will not tolerate it nor MLB. Like it or not Astros have paid a big price for this and any retribution from others I don't think the league will allow it or tolerate it very long

I kinda expected the league to issue a warning ahead of time because there were rumors of this long before training camp started. I’m a Rangers fan so no rooting interest for me but I think it’s bs.

I'm sure MLB will say something ahead of time. Given some comments that have been made I'm not sure MLB will give benefit of the doubt to pitchers and teams who do hit Astro batters.
