i don’t agree on the steroids, there’s a diff between an individual cheating and an organizational effort.
As mentioned, if titles aren’t taken away, why would any team close to a title NOT cheat? Oh no, we lost a draft pick that would’ve been a late pick and go to the farm league for years. likwise, I think the Pats should at least lose the deflate gate title as it was organizational and gave a competitive advantage. There are other titles of theirs that are suspicious too.
The NCAA, which is one of the least fair orgs out there, stripped USC of a title for cheating.

This has nothing to do with hate. The Astros did the crime without having to do the time. If someone came to your house and burned it down, how would you react if the police told you not to be angry or seek justice. This will not work and the Astros will find out first hand during their many road games this season.

Tough crowd. It’s going to be a long season no doubt. I’m pretty sure that Astro fans will continue to support the team for their outstanding work throughout the community. The Mrs and I plan to attend several games. Go Stros!

The other MLB teams also do outstanding work in their communities, does that make it ok to steal WS titles? If so i'd like to do some volunteer work on behalf of the NY Yankees.

Never said it was ok, just noted that the support will still be there. A fan is a fan is a fan. Knock yourself out with volunteer work. This world could always use an extra hand.

Whether or not Astros fans continue to support their team is no concern of mine. I'm only concerned with a fair outcome. So far the outcome is not fair. The Astros should get that which they seeked to give. Since the world no longer operates that way, well the MLB needs to find alternative measures which can be considered fair. We're not even close yet.

I didn't steal any WS titles. The Astros did that.

Tell the org you cheer for to give the title back, then you and them can look forward to that first WS together. They will never give it back, and your words stating that your looking forward to your first WS is nothing more then a empty gesture.

I hear ya.
I really don’t believe in stripping titles.

But.. when I heard that Altuve, in 2019 ALCS, game 7, was wearing a buzzer and knew Chapman was throwing off speed pitch. Altuve clearly loads up on his swing. It was high, slow and he adjusts too preparedly.

The yankees had just tied it up? Not saying they would have won and gone to World Series but we never had the chance to see if that would happen?

Altuve running home. Clenching his shirt. Telling players not to rip off shirt.

I think 2017 Astros title should vacated.
I think 2018 Red Sox title should vacated.

in 2019... I’m glad Nationals overcame this nonsense.

Adjusting while it is being thrown is one thing.
Knowing before it’s thrown, adjusting before it’s thrown is quite another.

As you already know in many cases pitchers pitch to deceive. So if a batter is sitting dead red fastball then an Off speed pitch comes = hitter deceived. Looks almost foolish swinging.

Altuve was never going to be deceived.
