I don't think Parker will mind. Parker wanted Pettine on the staff back when he got the DC job. Like I said, something changed Pettine's mind. It’s a tough situation to walk into for MP.
None of the D coaches are gonna like it.
Their jobs are on the line.
CP will be butt hurt bravo.
Shotty knows MP could take his job too.
At the end of the day as a HC from what ive seen he’d be a defensive Schotty…Is he really better or is anything better than what we currently have
People have been begging for Rex Ryan. He also has a losing record10-22 record, perfect Jerry hire. How hard do you try to come up with this stuff.
I’m sure he and Parker have been in touch during the season informally.I don't think Parker will mind. Parker wanted Pettine on the staff back when he got the DC job. Like I said, something changed Pettine's mind.
Pretty easy . Jethro sets the table .10-22 record, perfect Jerry hire. How hard do you try to come up with this stuff.
I sure hope he's here for more than that. Right now I have little confidence that defensive play calling is adequate at all, and the starters are underperforming big time. To me there's been a considerable investment in talent that isn't paying off.Not likely. He’s probably just here for advice in schemes , etc.
Agreed. As bad as this has been so far I think getting some experienced defensive coaching help is absolutely the way to go. The 'Boys won't be going to the Super Bowl but the NFC East is available for the taking. It really seems as though someone with prior experience like Pettine could help this organization get something going right. Anytime a good man is added to the current staff, good things are possible. There's not much to lose at this juncture. Maybe it's the break that's needed. Be glad, not sad.
yes I am so glad they made this move now instead of later ,or next season.,Which we may need if this season collapses.
Most of us were concerned Jethro could wait until season was over if this season totally collapses with no one on staff who’d ever had any NFL HC experience .
Now we have that. It isn’t much but at least he was HC of the Browns a couple seasons. And being a veteran DC we could fire Parker as well.
I can’t recall Cowboys ever bringing on a new coach during season before. This must be very telling how much confidence they’ve lost in Parker only 5 games in as defense has gotten worse.
At least they must know these next couple games are very critical and falling to 2-5 on the road in these next two Prime Time games on Sunday and Monday night could propel Cowboys into a Free-Fall in 2026.
