Gotta love the irony though that the most hated and arrogant coach in America bullied the officials into putting a second on the clock and then it lost the game because he did so.

Reminded me of Texas-Nebraska from several years ago. The heavy favorite always gets their way in those situations.... however, in that case, TX made the FG and won. Not so today.

The media will find a way to get them in the mnc game. CBS was already starting the hype in their post game.

I think a 1-loss Auburn deserves to go over Ohio State. And if Auburn loses next week, I think a 1-loss Alabama deserves to go over Ohio State.

I'm not so sure.... I think there's going to be an awful lot of voters who feel Auburn deserves to go over OSU. But ya, the Saban face was priceless.

Hey I could totally understand people wanting Auburn after this win. I root against ohio state on a weekly basis but after 2 years of going undefeated I think they deserve a shot. Its going to be fun to see what happens. Just glad its not another year of Bama.

Well, what happened last year should be irrelevant. And fact is that this year, the only currently ranked team they've beaten is Wisconsin, who may very well no longer be ranked come tomorrow evening (and if they are in it, they will be barely in it).

Same as Bama never should have won a NC after losing at home to LSU in another special teams flop of a game.

Auburn's defense isn't good enough to be considered a top 2 or 3 team, SEC winner or not. They've been more lucky than good.

NCG should be FSU vs OSU. Neither team has played a soul in but the 1930 rules they use to determine champions in this sport dictate the undefeated of AQ schools meet.
I can NOT wait for a real 8 or 16 team playoffs.

No. Why would you do this? Auburn has lost a game and Ohio St has won 24 straight. It doesn't matter what your opinions are on who is better or what not, a champion should be decided on the field and as long as Florida St and Ohio St take care of business in their respective championships they should go play for the title as the only two remaining undefeated teams. It would be an absolute sham if Auburn got in over OSU.

Ohio State's defense isn't any better. Missouri's is. I'm not saying that is enough to make either team leap frog OSU, but it is a poor argument against it.

There won't be a 8 team playoff for many years and it will be even longer before a 16 team playoff is considered.

I think its very possible. Everyone I know who watches football dislikes Saban.

I think he's a guy that a lot of people love to hate. Fact is anyone who has tremendous success in any sports league is going to be hated by everyone not a fan of that team. Nobody hates the Jaguars, but a lot of people sure hate the Patriots.

Yes, but we can get that in the Rose Bowl instead. I'd rather the National Championship be an enjoyable game.

OSU is #2 in the human polls, but by a very slim margin. 1 computer poll, Kenneth Massey, has Auburn ahead of OSU by 1 spot. Sagarin has OSU several spots ahead of Auburn, but that will probably be Auburn's "drop" so it won't hurt them. I think ultimately OSU will have the slimmest of leads this week - so slim that they could easily lose it if Auburn wins next week.
