I didn't even bother to listen. Greg needs to be gone today. His act is very, very tired.

Despite having three players who can physically rush the passer, the outside linebacker position worries me a great deal. Outside of DeMarcus, you have a whiner and an underperformer who was arrested this offseason.
Oh, and regarding Ellis, I'm waiting for the day he seriously says, "The problem with this team is we have too many guys who whine too much."

Plus, he allegedly ran to Jerry Jones to complain about how he was being used. Didn't the Water Pistol, formerly known as Tank Johnson, go right with him?
I wonder if Spencer acting like an idiot saved Ellis. If Spencer played all the downs, like Ware, he would get some more sacks.
What is his cap number?
We will need a replacement (a third OLB), but I welcome it.

There can't be any way he's back in Dallas at his current salary.
He has restructure or hit the road.
And he isn't an every down player anymore. His drop off last season was evident and I hope he saw that.
So Ellis says the team lacked chemistry and didn't gel?
LOL.
What's the tally now on guys who said 'nothing' was wrong and guys who said 'something' was wrong.
Anyone?

Wrong measuring stick, I think. We judge success in the NFL in zero-sum terms so, yeah, Tennessee and Baltimore came up short. But the measuring stick on this should be relativity. Those are both good teams with good chemistry. Of course, that doesn't affect the chemistry/quality causation v. correlation issue.theebs;2608076 said:Didnt baltimore rave about their chemistry? And the titans too?
Having good chemistry doesnt mean the end result is always a superbowl win.
Its a sport, teams lose, even ones with good chemistry. The bad chemistry issue is just one more hurdle to giving yourself a chance to win.
Ehh, you've still got a causation v. correlation issue. Even if a team has bad chemistry becuase it's losing (rather than the reverse), perhaps it can't become a winning team without first improving its chemistry.theogt;2608046 said:As always, winning teams happen to have great chemistry, and losing teams have terrible chemistry.
When have you ever heard a winning team come out and say, "By gosh we won in spite of our terrible team chemistry!"
Not gonna happen.
Thats the problem on this cowboys team, the ATTITUDE! The lack of want to, or no heart or fire
In 1996 we went 10-6, won the NFC East and in the Wild Card round of the playoffs absolutely stomped the Vikings 40-15. We then lost in the Divisional round to the Panthers 26-17. That was our last post season win.Alexander;2608361 said:I am impressed.
He lasted over a month before he started complaining about his role.
Without a doubt, the day Greg Ellis is gone as a leader on this football team, the sooner we can get to work. He is a progress stopper.
Joe, be honest with me, do you understand that Free Agency has not started yet and guys are still on the team because of that very fact? There is no need to waive Tank Johnson and Paulescu and other Free Agents just so it looks to you that the team is doing something.cowboyjoe;2608491 said:remember the rams game when jerry jones came into the locker room and had a tantrum and said;
i will find out who is giving 110 percent, and not giving their all and i guarantee you, you wont be on this team.
jerry jones hasnt done that yet
now lets point to guys that goofed up or didnt play right
I know that tony curtis was one player that let a cardinal player in to block the punt and hurt McBrair; later in another game, tony curtis was suppose to be on the field in a certain situation, and he didnt come into the game, Jason witten was livid with him, while witten was playing hurt
everyone knows brad johnson is too old to play QB but he is still on the team
proctor has misssed blocks right and left, but he is still on the team
tank johnson is still on the team, and he said, i am a free agent baby im out of here, but he is still on the roster;
the new punter is still on the team, and he had a terrible game in phily
now granted the punter has tried and you dont know about if mcbrair is ok
but why are these players still on the team that i mentioned?
