It's getting pretty ridiculous, there's at least two or three every single day. Let it go already.

I totally agree. If TO stays, he stays. If he goes he goes. He's not the core problem or the only problem on this team. And that will be proven next year when (yes I did say when, not if) this team tanks it with or without TO on the roster.

TO and Rosenhaus tried for weeks to get the eagles to redo the contract privately before they started to talk to the media about the situation.

The contract was structured so if he became a problem they could get out of it without too much damage. Like our first contract with him. The contract wasn't a problem, it was a convenient excuse. The real issue was the relationship between him and McNabb blowing up. That contract only became a bad contract if TO became a cancer.

I remember the circumstances very well. He'd still be playing with them on that contract if he didn't become a problem.

A few weeks ago he started a thread about the "angelic" Jerry Rice blah blah blah and the "devilish" TO...

THEN on the first response to his agenda thread.... the 2nd poster OWNED him with about 4-5 examples of Jerry doing.... how you say in america... "not so nice a thingz
:lmao2:

That thread is CLEARLY the FASTEST, MOST OWNED THREAD EVER on CowboysZone.

Sidebar: I know that DCFanatic's "niche" is the Radio show and posting audio on here. BUT HE DOES it WITH an AGENDA. Thats also clear.

He goes from someone I should take seriously on here because he is a more than average contributor to another pseudo "hack" journalist(audiolist/radio guy) like Ed Werder.

This guy still thinks Ed Werder was making stuff up, lol.

Sad.

And the Rice thread was about T.O.'s mentor telling him he needed to work on his route running. But the T.O. fan clubs guys only hear what they want to hear.

It's kind of like you guys act like 5 years olds when it comes to him which sounds very familiar.

Your hero can do no wrong, lol.

The stupidest thing about all of you is that Hugh Douglas is more on Terrell Owens side in this interview than he against him, but you guys already decided that since I posted the audio it's something negative against him because of the thread title.

More than half of you didn't even listen to it. You based your post on what some of the people said in the thread before you arrived and they hadn't listened to it either.

LOL.

As for an agenda. I do have one.

It's to make you guys look like idiots on a daily basis.

You guys aren't even taking in any info any more. You are just seeing the name 'Terrell Owens' and you put your dukes up.

He has turned you all into a useless army of fans who act just like he does.

He's famous for hearing something from second hand source and then going into a shell where he let's it affect his relationships with people even if the info isn't neccessarily the truth.

Douglas just explained this to us in the interview.

I feel bad for you guys. I really do.

Why would you ask someone who got beat up by a guy about said guy? You think its going to be a credible story?

Is the audio link not working or something?

:laugh1:

And can anyone around here read?

:laugh1:

No one got beat up and Douglas was for the most part taking the side of Terrell Owens.

Jerry H. Jones!!!

Yeah, that is what I don't get.

The media, Eagles players, Terrell Owens and Hugh Douglas all said it really wasn't even a fight. Just a few punches thrown by both guys and they were seperated.

But people are going to believe what they want to believe.

I think you are so determined to hate Owens that you are refusing to believe the truth. If this contract was not a bad one then please answer me this one question:

Why did the NFL Players Association warn him not to sign the deal?

And if you do remember the situation as well as you claim to then you would realize that the contract was built in a way that would have forced the eagles to cut him or redo the deal to remain under the salary cap. It had years of extremely high salaries that they would never have paid. His problem with McNabb was not until the contract became and issue and McNabb decided to help westbrook instead of Owens. Then it became an issue. His problem with Philly was all about the contract. It obviously escalated later. But it originated with money.

Now please enlighten us as to why the NFLPA told him to not sign the deal? Could it be because it was structured to cut him after a couple years? And how would he still be playing for the eagles with that contract if it was structured like this?

Here is a copy and paste from Wikipedia that pretty much backs up my memory of the contract situation. Now please support your stance of how the contract wasnt the issue.

Owens' contract controversy heated up as training camp drew nearer. Owens, with the negotiating help of Rosenhaus, continued to lobby for a new contract. Owens and Rosenhaus met with Eagles head coach Andy Reid and president Joe Banner, but no agreement was reached. (This was in line with the Eagles' policy against contract renegotiations.) Owens threatened to hold out of training camp until a deal was reached, but he reported to camp on time. When the 2005 football season began, Owens was in the second year of a seven-year, $49 million contract. However, the contract was heavily back loaded, and while the $49 million figure was routinely touted by the sports media as an example of Owens' greed, the money guaranteed to him was under the annual average for a top-tier wide receiver.

What does the audio have to do with it. I remember the incident and the reports when it happened as it happened. Douglas confronted him in the training room and tried to intimidate Owens with his size and Owens smacked him but good. Beat up? not really.

I also didn't say anything one way or another concerning TO. when it comes down to it I don't feel I have enough credible information one way or another to make an opinion outside of the fact that given his troubles with bump and run coverage and penchant for disappearing from games he isn't worth top WR dollar anymore. Notice I evaluate based on what I see for myself not hearsay.

You mean, like believing in the urban legend that wide receiver Terrell Owens got the best of defensive end Hugh Douglas during their "altercation"? Yeah, people will believe in just about anything.

Eagles | Owens Brushes off Douglas
Tue, 02 Aug 2005 20:01:10 -0700
Ashley Fox, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens was kneeling away from the fray, quiet and alone at practice Tuesday, August 2, when DE Hugh Douglas approached him. Douglas essentially extended his hand to Owens. Owens hardly looked at Douglas as he got up and walked away, leaving the brushed-off Douglas less than happy. "I was just trying to be nice," Douglas said later, after LB Jeremiah Trotter calmed him down, told him to give Owens some time, and promised to talk to the disgruntled wide receiver. "He's in a situation where he's trying to get something done, so he's probably a little upset. In a situation like that, I think the best thing to do is give him some space and let him work it out."

Eagles | Owens Fight Update
Sun, 06 Nov 2005 09:37:15 -0800
Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens threw five or six punches at former defensive end and team ambassador Hugh Douglas during an altercation this week. One of the punches was described as a shot that would have done major damage if it had landed. The team has not made a decision on when Owens will return from his suspension, but several Eagles players said they find it hard to believe he will ever re-join the team.

Douglas got his feelings hurt

and then

he went for the physical beatdown.

That was the stupidest thing ever said on this message board because you obviously weren't in the locker room when T.O. and Hugh Douglas had this 'whatever you want to call it'.
