This team won in the early to mid 90's in spite of Jerry. He's like the boss who let an employee do a project, he signed off on it and then tried taking credit for it since he hired the employee.
The main reason we haven't even won a playoff game in 13 years is because once Jimmy left, Jerry went from just having the "final say" to having the "1st, 2nd, 3rd...and final say."
Given enough time, we could actually get there again. Given enough time, even someone like Bill Bidwell managed to make it to a Super Bowl. But, "Jerry's way" has been our primary problem over the last dozen or so years.
