Mosley says to ‘watch situation’ with Wade

By dcfanatic, October 9, 2009 9:23 pm

It's not going to happen. It's not, really it's not.

But if somehow the Chiefs pulled out a win over the Cowboys on Sunday would Jerry Jones make the drastic move of firing Wade Phillips?

Mosley hearing things from sources

I don't think he would do it if it's a close game and they lose.

If they get blown out by the Chiefs I think Jerry may go ballistic in thinking Wade has lost the team and then maybe fire him and make Jason Garrett the interim head coach.

But like I said. They aren't going to lose to the Chiefs.

I still think we lose sunday and I dont think wade goes anywhere.

And I used to like the idea of garrett taking over, but as the losses mount up I have to imagine he is losing his players also.

maybe at the end of the day the problem here is we have two Head coaches and two styles being used by two coaches with no clear cut head guy.

and that brings us around to the biggest problem here, the guy hiring the coaches.

That's what happens when you hire an OC before you hire a head coach.

yeah but what if dan reeves says, i want to come in as offensive coordinator and let wade run defense and be head coach?

best scenario out of that would be, dan takes head coaching job, keeps wade as defensive coordinator, and dan says i want either jon gruden as offensive coordinator or jason garrett

but with dan reeves in charge

God, if that happens, it is going to be a long 3 years with Garrett as the head coach. It would be awful.

thats the biggest problem on this team ever since jimmy johnson left,
jerry doesnt want to admit that jimmy had total control, or give any head coach total control

thats the big problem
i said it way back there and i will say it again, the players have to fear the head coach or respect him
i dont think these players fear wade or jason

Me neither.

I want a young guy who can relate to these players.

I don't want someone who want them to be friends with him.

I want a boss.

Yeah, I was listening to Mosley on GAC today make these statements this evening.

Based on what Mosley was saying and hearing Jerry Jones proclaim that the fans should be PO'ed, I now believe Jerry Jones would fire a Head Coach for the first time during a Season if certain things happen (or don't happen).

I think Wade Phillips get it done this Weekend against the Chiefs.

Knowing that their Head Coach's job could be on the line, if the Cowboys drop one against the Chiefs, I think this will tell you quite a bit about how they handle adversity.

I think we get it done against the Chiefs.

The Cowboys are a average football team but they aren't a bottom dwelling team.

I just understand what the Cowboys have done to make people think they can't beat the Chiefs.

me too DC i want a boss that will stand up to jerry and tell him point blank, look, you have been doing it your way for 13 years, Has it worked Jerry? Why do players with a problem go to you and not the head coach? If you want to win Jerry, I have to be in total control!

Only reason why i would consider reeves, he knows wade, they have worked together with joe d. Dan Reeves has looked at the offense during the offseason. Remember dan worked in an office for 2 days i believe.

So, Dan has an ideal.

Like some other people have said, a top head coach doesnt want to come in here till the year is over so he can clean house if need be and have total control.

Absolutely. We have a HC of the offense and a HC of the defense with no clear cut leader. This team is in disaray and Wade can't answer any questions with regards to the offensive side of the house. What I can't understand is what Jones was thinking when he set up the coaching staff the way he did. He just continues to devalue the importance of a HC and you'd think he would have learned a lesson by now. It's insane.

Even if we lose, there's no point in firing Wade. We may as well just let him finish up his contract then let him go. I doubt under Garrett's leadership things would be much better. We need to bring in outside help, and that's not going to happen during the season. Hopefully, the players can turn things around and win a Super Bowl, but I'm not counting on it.

I don't want Wade fired till the season is over. if he fires him during the season than Jerry will promote Garrett and make everything even worse.
