I heard Mosley say this on GAC yesterday also. It probably won't happen, but if it did I would want Joe D as the Interim HC.

Garrett has enough on his hands right now. He can't even coach the QB. If Garrett becomes our next HC I'll puke! He has done nothing to prove to me that he has anything to offer. He will be another puppett in the line of puppet coaches this team has had. Plus the team doesn't seem to believe in him...how will they when he becomes the HC?

This team needs a new attitude....................again.

i view that to be a campo move.

:hammer:

I don't think Jason Garrett is the next Head Coach.

As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry Jones wanted Jason Garrett to get the Rams job.

Jason Garrett has proven that he is not that great at evaluating talent.

He called an entire game without getting Felix Jones the ball.

He was the one that was instrumental in bringing Brad Johnson here.

He draws up game plans where you attack Pro Bowl corners again again and again.

He seems to have difficulty at time figuring out when to pound the ball or pass.

He keeps Jason Witten, the best Tight End in football, in to block when the game is on the line.

Jason Garrett is every bit of the problem as Wade Phillips.

alot of these guys werent here when Parcells was here...

The core players of this team certainly were, and if you look at the majority of the 22 starters, they were here under BP.

By firing Wade and failing to promote Garrett, Jerry would have to concede that he was wrong twice.

Firing Wade and promoting Garrett allows Jerry to think that although he was wrong with Wade, he was also right (on Garrett).

On that basis alone, it makes sense to think that Garrett has a good chance at the job.

I think Jerry would do much better to hire Holmgren, but we all know that Jerry is capable of doing almost anything.

Is there anyone on this board that would even argue that Mike Holmgren isn't a better choice then Jason Garrett?

The problem with Jason Garrett as a Coordinator and Asst. Head Coach is not that he is unproven, it is quite the opposite. He has proven on quite a few occasions that he can struggle to grasp a problem on the field and how to solve it.

Honestly, I hope Jerry Jones dressed him down for his play calling last week .

lose to the chiefs and the season, and hopefully wade, are finished.
then get rid of garrett and bring in a real coach next season.
anyone else tired of starting over every year?

Players are more PO'd at Garrett than Wade. Everybody knows Garrett has absolute control over this offense, so why should Wade take the heat for the incompetence of the offensive play-calling? If he did, it would show Jerry hasn't learned jack... If Garrett has showed anything, it his inability to overseen multiple tasks at once.

I don't get how anybody can blame Wade for the offense, and fans don't blame Garrett for the defense, while acknowledging that they both are essentially coordinators... Seriously, how can anybody really blame Wade as an overall HC when he clearly doesn't want Jason here in the first place... Give him an OC, and see how he does the rest of the year, because Garrett has clearly shown he is incompetent offensively... Plus, Jerry got rid of TO to make this a Romo friendly offense and the guy is just regressing...

Actually when Jerry first starting talking about the Offense becomming more "Romo Friendly" he had no ideal that he would be cutting T.O. and as a matter of fact said he would not be cutting him!

So to quote Troy Hambrick "What DO Romo Friendly mean?"!!

That's what happens when you hire an OC before you hire a head coach.

You hire an OC before you hire your HC because your Owner/GM isn't really a football guy. Just an owner hiding behind a GM title so he can dibble dabble with the affairs of the team that he is not qualified to oversee and get positive results doing so.

I think there is a distinguishable difference between an OC and a HC.

I for one think Garrett will be a better HC than he is OC. And even though he's struggling this year, I'm not giving up hope on him as a HC.

This is a learning experience for him...I dont want to let him go and have some other team reap the benefits.

I really like Joe D but he is not HC material. You think Garret would be in over his head? Joe D would be even more over his head. He is what he is, a top notch ST's coach.

Ray Sherman could coach the offense if needed, that I could tell you. At least on an interim basis. Campo would probably end up being the interim HC with Ray the o-coordinator and I'm not saying there would be better results, but if Jerry did decide to clean house during the season that would be the structure. Gratham probably would act as DC.

The bottom line is, Jerry won't can a coach mid way through the season because it's very hard to be any more successful anyways with who would be the replacement. Only way its an upgrade if the locker room is lost and the players do not respond, they tank the season and need a new whip. Wade is here to watch this ship sink for the season if that's the fate of this season.
