Audio: Mosley says to ‘watch situation’ with Wade

It doesn't matter whether he fires Wade or not. Jerry is not going to hire a name coach. He is going to look for another puppet.

Well it’s a way to get rid of Wade and give Garrett a shot all in one season. At some point this season Phillips is going to get fired. Jason taking the HC job will do nothing for the Cowboys and Gruden/Other big name coach will be hired and a mass overhaul is done to the coaching staff.

It's not going to happen. It's not, really it's not.

But if somehow the Chiefs pulled out a win over the Cowboys on Sunday would Jerry Jones make the drastic move of firing Wade Phillips?

Mosley hearing things from sources

I don't think he would do it if it's a close game and they lose.

If they get blown out by the Chiefs I think Jerry may go ballistic in thinking Wade has lost the team and then maybe fire him and make Jason Garrett the interim head coach.

But like I said. They aren't going to lose to the Chiefs.

ya know, i'm getting tired of the national enquierer of sports leading the way of crap on a wicker stick.

hearing from sources?

i miss the days news was news and not a shock jock with a bad attitude.

Well, any given Sunday folks.

I'm sure Garrett would love to take over...and maybe there lies the problem.

Jerry isn't going to fire Wade mid season. He's also probably not going to renew his contract which is up at the end of this year. Garrett is the next Head Coach here.

What has Garrett done to deserve the HC title???

Almost everybody from fans to the media is questioning his play calling. He has Witten blocking with the game on the line. After the Philly game last year, multiple players (including Romo) questioned the offensive strategy.

Maybe if we were the greatest show on turf, part 2 and we were just dropping 50 on everybody. However, that is not the case. Romo has not thrown a TD pass since the season openner. Dallas is the only team in the NFL that does not have a WR either #1 or #2 in receptions, the only freaking team in the league!!!!!!

So I ask again, what has Garrett done to deserve a promotion to HC???

Gotta love these mediots who claim to have "sources". It's all an attempt to get readers.

If the Cowboys continue down this path, I highly doubt Jerry hands the reins over to Jason. Now if the offense finds an identity and begins to single-handedly win games, and the defense struggles, then Wade is out the door, and maybe Jason gets the nod.

Nothing I say will appease you, so why even ask me?

I'm telling you what I think is going to happen. I think he will be great as a Head Coach. Always have. You don't have to agree.

I don't think that is a pre-requisite.

i have to disagree.

we're in a coaching void right now. no coach is really stepping up and going outside their role. if you promote from within you do it because those within performed the necessary role.

if garrett could fill the "void", he'd have done it by now. one argument would be that he's only the OC and i'd agree.

but he's never stepped out of that role to show he can light a fire when needed has he?

in my mind if we stay with garrett we're stuck with jones being loyal, not smart. no one seems to be listening to garrett now and changing his title won't change how he coaches.

That sucks.

By firing Wade and failing to promote Garrett, Jerry would have to concede that he was wrong twice.

Firing Wade and promoting Garrett allows Jerry to think that although he was wrong with Wade, he was also right (on Garrett).

On that basis alone, it makes sense to think that Garrett has a good chance at the job.

I think Jerry would do much better to hire Holmgren, but we all know that Jerry is capable of doing almost anything.

I don't think Jerry is that egotistical.

He's admitted some wrong in the past. I seriously don't think he will go with Garrett if there is a shred of doubt.......which there should be.

If we get beat by KC, fire Wade and hire Garrett. Make it known in the media that the rest of the season is his job interview.

i don't want garrett. i don't think he's shown the leadership necessary to be what we want but is more the 4th string WR we always hope for but never want to play.

but i'll take garrett over holmgren. holmgren isn't much more than a nicer wade. you wanna put a foot up an arse, he won't do it. he's not shown fire in years but people know the name.

far too often that's enough.

shannahan would be an improvement to me and i could see that move.
