It's weird in a way. It's like his schemes failed, but he was successful with individual linemen. Of course, maybe the individual linemen were just talented enough and worked hard to succeed despite Solari. Our line did play much better later in the season after we lost Martin. I don't know the nuances of blocking schemes, but it seems to me that we adjusted some to help the group we had be successful. Still, outside of Guyton, we had a lot of players hold their own when they were called on, and I don't know how much of the credit belongs to Solari.

That would be fantastic. If Bland and Diggs get back to making a bunch of interceptions, we could call them Thurman's Thieves.

And maybe it had something to do with mixing what McCarthy wanted to do in the passing game with what No-Schott wanted to do in the running game. I don't know. All I know is it's left a lot to be desired.

Last three names I'll throw out there who Schotty has had some previous extended time coaching beside, and who could be targets:
Our old friend Joe Philbin coached O-line here in his first season employed by the Cowboys, and then again in Indy with him back in 2016 and 2017... and would appear to be available depending on what changes Pete Carroll makes in Oak... er... Los.... errr... Las Vegas.
Our old friend Bill Callahan coached O-line with him during all of his years as Jets OC... and while Callahan is currently employed in TEN, it's plausible you could pursue Callahan to take another turn as OC.
In fact, if you really wanted your O-line coach to double as your Offensive Coordinator, both those guys have been that.
And finally, our old friend Anthony Lynn--who has already been mentioned in things I'd read as a potential OC option here--is getting a lot of applause for his RB Coach/Running Game Coordinator performance in WAS.
I'm just going to throw it out there... just me, I look for either the DC or the OC to be a person with more significant melanin content in his skin than me. And if Eberflus is the guy on the defensive side, that would seem to leave Lal or Lynn as likely OC choices.
Lal might be more open to that than would Lynn, who already lists OC and even HC on his resume'.

Why would Callahan abandoned his son I don't know much about the Titans but I believe the only reason he went to the Titans was to help with his son he wanted a coach with his son.... So you're not getting him away from the Titans so I don't think that's a possibility unless he really wanted to be a offensive coordinator slash assistant head coach and maybe he's thinking this could be a short lived head coaching gig and he could get the job I mean who knows people's motives are but I would take him off that list..
Here's my hope I hope that Brian schottenheimer sees the upside of him not calling plays and being the OC he can have strong input in the offense they run but I hope that the game plans and the offensive coordinator job goes to a separate person he can then be the walk around leader that delegates and I think you could be a better head coach that way especially in this case it's a first time head coach is a lot of responsibilities and there's a lot of heat on him now thanks to Jerry Jones and I feel bad for Brian schottenheimer is gonna take all the heat for this hire even though he still hasn't given a chance to be successful or not before people prejudge him.
Is Anthony Lynn a good offensive coordinator ?I mean can he be a true full time play caller I mean I want names to realistically can be the actual offensive coordinator not just a name you know a name like Bienemy became a big name even though we knew he had nothing to do with Andy Reid's offense he just was there.... And that didn't go well so I prefer somebody stronger at OC...

That's already been talked about according to rumors and tidbits that we heard from Prescott I believe that there was a lot of animosity between schottenheimer and McCarthy on the type of offense to run and there's a reason schottenheimer didn't get the job even though Mike McCarthy was failing you would think he would have demoted himself and elevated schottenheimer is they didn't run the same philosophy on offense and it wasn't just the run game I hear from Prescott that he thinks schottenheimer is more creative and to me that says that Mike McCarthy wasn't allowing schottenheimer any input and he was just there holding a clipboard and helping on the practice field implement whatever Mike McCarthy demanded which is understandable...
However ,people getting the idea that this is going to look exactly the way it's been the last two years under McCarthy oC and I say it's not they run a different offense ,this is not going to be the West/TX Coast and yes it's going to be a lot more like what we ran here with Garrett/turner type, and I don't know if that's going to be a fan favorite but that doesn't mean it's going to look exactly the same but it's a similar offense and yes eber flues as the defensive coordinator is the most likely candidate and he looks a lot like a newer version of marinelli and I know nobody's wanting that but I think there's a good reason that that's what we're going to expect here as far as schemes but that doesn't mean they're gonna be executed the same way...
Just in case people didn't look this up ,the three years he was in Seattle with Pete Carroll , schottenheimer had Russell Wilson playing some of his best at least passing offense, it was all above 66% completion percentage, they had 31 touchdowns ,36 touchdowns ,and 40 touchdowns .. yes in the passing game those three years Schottenheimer the offensive coordinator that's not bad.. Anyone says this is just a run offense only and he doesn't do much in the passing game, it hasn't been paying attention, and I believe there might have been a story out there that Pete Carroll thought they were throwing the ball much and that's why he let Schottenheimer go... Although I don't know if I believe that because I believe it was Pete Carroll who called that one yard line interception instead of running beast mode,
so I don't know where all this is coming from but I do know this Schottenheimer with Prescott who is a very similar product as Russell Wilson if we can get him a good run game i don't think it's as bad as it feels..

Anthony Lynn would be a great get for us. So would Leslie Frazier on defense (but it looks like that decision is already made).
