You're just a Homer.

Troll slayer my ***. All you ever did was run around and try and dig up old posts on people.

You really thought you were the man around here. Then tried to leave, and join Hostile on another forum bashing the zone.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

In late 2012, Dak Prescott likely wasn't thinking about an NFL future. He was just a Dallas Cowboys fan with some angst and a Twitter account.

Who knew that on Dec. 30, 2012, he wasn't just ripping Tony Romo on Twitter, he was ripping future Cowboys teammate Tony Romo? The Cowboys picked Prescott late in the fourth round on Saturday, presumably to possibly be Romo's successor someday.

It's really not that big of a deal. Prescott was 19 years old and at that point had 29 career college passes. There's no way he could have known that day, as Romo threw three interceptions in a Week 17 game at Washington with a playoff spot on the line, that he'd work with Romo someday.

IN 2012 i think every Dallas Cowboys fan was saying the same thing about Romo.

Reminds me of the Larry Nance Jr/Kobe Bryant Twitter thing when he got drafted.
That, to me, was worse and it turned out to be nothing.

Not a Football fan of Dak

I like him from what I've heard in interviews he seems like a cool cat.

My issue with this is you're what in college on a not so great team, and you're going on about a guy who battled to get where he is. It's just not a good look if your future is trying to be a professional football player.

However with that being said we've all said the same **** and he was young and said it out of passion for the team. I'm sure Romo will rub him in a joking manner and take him under his wing. Tony seems like such a classy dude with a sense of humor and that trait will hopefully rub off on Dak.

We shall see

Love this pick
That's great!
As long as that twitter comment has nothing to do with it.
You would be taking something that he has most likely grown out of a matured past and making it a complementary asset.
You won't see battle tested NFL QBs be so fast to point fingers, because they know it's no picnic. Easy for a snot nosed 19 year old with a handful of college snaps to still not know better.

I'm certain he is beyond that now...which is one reason why I'm with you in welcoming him aboard.

Anyway, you tell he was already a Cowboy fan because he was so emotional about it. Felt like we did to some degree at the time.

Not me. He's ripped out my heart on numerous occasions...but I've never proclaimed " I'm done with him." He's carried this team his entire career. That's enough for me and youngin better recognize....and he will.
I agree mostly. Romo has shouldered the sole blame for some losses and blamed unnecessarily for others, so "numerous occasions" is a bit much. Like you said, Romo has carried this team. While Prescott and others can assign blame to him for the Washington loss, they should acknowledge how often he has helped win games and given the team opportunities to win games the team couldn't succeed in also.

Prescott was a teenager when he said he had given up on Romo. He can fall back on his immaturity and emotional state at that particular moment in his life. Others cannot use the same excuses necessarily.

No one should've said they're done with Romo to this point but they have. Perhaps Prescott tweeted thoughts about Romo that countered his quoted comments from dozens of months ago. Perhaps he didn't but knowing what he did or didn't say about Romo after the fact would have been much more fair to Prescott either way.

That responsibility, finding out and reporting anything discoverable, falls solely upon those who deliver information to the public. It's a responsibility often found lacking in today's sound bite, click bait media.

This garbage happens every year. Romo is a professional. This is a non-discussion.
