Hey guys this sounds like us.
In late 2012, Dak Prescott likely wasn't thinking about an NFL future. He was just a Dallas Cowboys fan with some angst and a Twitter account.
Who knew that on Dec. 30, 2012, he wasn't just ripping Tony Romo on Twitter, he was ripping future Cowboys teammate Tony Romo? The Cowboys picked Prescott late in the fourth round on Saturday, presumably to possibly be Romo's successor someday.
It's really not that big of a deal. Prescott was 19 years old and at that point had 29 career college passes. There's no way he could have known that day, as Romo threw three interceptions in a Week 17 game at Washington with a playoff spot on the line, that he'd work with Romo someday.

Come on man he wasn't anything then. Just a kid that loved the Cowboys and was pissed off watching the team and QB he'd spent most of his adolescent life defending choke away another opportunity.
journalistic sensationalism.
So you're saying letting him vent on Twitter about it was a good idea?
I don't think what he said years ago is going to affect anything, I just think any platform that allows you to put your knee-jerk reactions out there for everyone to see is not good for those who put their knee-jerk reactions out there for everyone to see. Once you put a careless statement out there, you can't take it back.
Thanks for the correction. No its just called journalism now.

The same as Kobe did with Nance Jr. Yup. Non story...I do agree that kids are really careless with social media. I don't look at this as a typical athlete putting his foot in his mouth though. I see a 19 year old Dallas Cowboys fan who was watching the same game we were and venting in the same way. Honestly I think Romo will give him a hard time and have a laugh. This is a non story.
Wow you're comparing Romo with Kobe? How are they even remotely the same kind of guy?
There are no age limitations for careless social media usage. Zero.I do agree that kids are really careless with social media.
I'm betting Dak won't be critical of Romo in the future. In the dubious event that he would, he'd only validate himself as a hapless fool.
I'm extremely confident that he'll know exactly which side his bread's buttered on. He's just in no position to be critical at this juncture.
Additionally, Tony Romo strikes me as a forgiving soul who will do his all to get along with Zac and put the past aside. It's a new day.
I think a lot of us said the same thing if not worse. Romo was lost in that game.
Romo will laugh it off. He thinks too highly of his abilities to let a tweet of four years ago be a big deal.
Welcome aboard Dak.
